You are a obvious non Pom fan Gibs, Matty Wright had a good game but to say we won't win with Pom there........................I don't agree.

I'm actually a big Pom fan, in situations like that Pom likes to sit back for the touch back rather that leap for the ball. I believe the bomb would have been defused and we would not have scored.

He is the king of scoring flukey tries like that.

Now that Matty Wright has had his yearly try it's time to bring the Pomenator in.
that wasnt really flukey it was a good catch, some skill shown, pom just seems to show up at the right time for awol balls, not something u can really rely on all the time.

I've been a bit of a basher of M. Wright over the years but I was pleasantly surpised by him in the centres yesterday. Let's hope he can keep it up, very impressive stuff.

On the other hand I"ve been a Gardner fan since he arrived but if anyone still clings to any hope of him getting the fullback spot back, it isn't going to happen. Michael Gordon was fantastic yesterday, safe hands, always in the right position, constantly backing up the forwards in case they slipped a pass. I knew he was a good player but seeing him live yesterday and watching him closely, we have picked up a gem.

Unfortunately though it seems we still have the same issues as last year in attack. I don't want to start another Robbo bashing thread, but gee he looked slow yesterday in all facets of attack. Until we solve the halfback issue we won't be a top 4 team. I don't know if Chad is the answer but we need to at least find out soon. At least if he's not we can look elsewhere. In saying that I don't like our chances of recruiting anyone given the current climate at the club.

Just from a team perspective i would like to see Matty Wright at the back and Gordon in the centres.

I fear that we are going to get beat up by Souths.

Forwards were running too flat. We had a good pack out there, but they are all ball players. More hard yards were needed.

Can't agree on that Henry,

We also have to limit the other teams go forward, as the game went on Titans were finding it much easier to march down field.

On a side note, I just watched the first 10 or so minutes of the game on TV for the first time, anyone else notice George Capsis in the tunnel as the players were leaving the dressing rooms.

We're going to have to execute our end of set options a lot better if we want to get within 20 points of the Bunnies this round I reckon

as far as robbo went I think he did ok.
He did a busload of defence on some titans big boppers and that got to slow a little bloke down.
At one stage in the second half they took wade off and he defended on that side and the poor bastard had taylor and indis steaming doen on him...scary stuff for a little bloke, but he did ok.
A bit of a pat on the back to sharp who spotted this and got wade back out there and shifted robbo to the other side

Two questions for you.

1. Did you watch M. Wright at fullback last year?

2. Did you watch M. Gordon at fullback yesterday?

True but it's the same for every other half in the comp. If he can't produce more in attack he has to go.

i think we got lucky last night that the experience of the halves for the titans was **** house. They made so many mistakes in good field position and poor 5th kick opions (Bailey fluke kicked one).
I felt Robbo did a much better job at controlling the game. Gave our boys a rest or two when they were coming off their line and a good repeat set kick to swing swing the momentum and build some pressure on them after our end had been attacked for so long.
That centre for the titans is goona be a beast!! He was involved in everything and ran harder then most back rowers on the night.
They were a HUGE side and will cause trouble all year for that reason.
Was nice too see a fullback attack the football and not it bounce, Ryan is by far the best winger we have had in years, J.wright needs to bulk up and run harder... he is a big boy but runs like a girl.
The Injection Lewis has in our side is amazing and Wade Graham is gonna be in for a massive year. When him Gal & Lewis are on the field you can expect sone big hits. (How good was Graham's shoulder charge with a hint of arms in there).
By far my fav player this year!
