So who’s going to get NRL rookie 2020. Sharks should have a pretty good shot with the quantity debuting this year. Blake won’t qualify will he?

Nah, Blake played too many games last year to be eligible

Talakai isn't eligible, but Royce and Toby are

Toby is easily somewhere in the top 5 across the league

Can only see Harry Grant getting it. Even if he doesn't play again this year but yeah Rudolf would be top 5 easily imo.

Crichton from Panthers is up there too.

I'm biased but I'd probably call Rudolf and Crichton fighting it out for second atm
If Grant didn't play again and Penrith finished on top with Crichton scoring a boatload of tries he could pinch it but at the moment it is Grant then daylight

The biggest factor with him not playing for a while is it really damages his Daly M chances... could be a chance for SJ if he can actually get some votes, although the likes of Smith and Cleary and maybe Gutho will be right up there.

If Kyle can't get back on the pitch for a few weeks he'll get jumped for top point scorer too, could be another chance for SJ given we score bulk tries.

At this point it’s Harry Grant by the distance to the moon. But at the very least Toby should of be nominated and a fair shout for second.

NRL rookie of the year, or Sharks rookie of the year?

**

If it's Sharks rookie of the year maybe we can define our own criteria to expend the argument a little. E.g. under 25 and less than 10 NRL games played entering the season (that would rule Blayke out but keep most others in).

My confidence in Harry Grant goes way down under those criteria
