These are the ones we need to win. And not just scrape by. If we can dominate them like we did the Raiders who are well backed, we win by a big margin. These are the games we need to dominate in to cement our place as heavy weights. no room for complacency

A bit concerned about this game, if the Dragons come with their round 1 form, we might be in for hard fought night.

Sharks in a tight one, about 4 points in it.
You'd break a sweat worrying about the result or the grand final rerun wouldn't you? :)

In all seriousness I can now reflect, if we got pipped right at the end of the grand final after the siren I really would have had to take a few years off well away from footy..

id if been the same. It would of gutted me, but I reckon I would of been straight back on the bandwagon if we strung a few together

For sure man. I get that nervous tingly feeling........although that just might be in my pants.

Seriously though I'm not dismissing the Dragqueens, they showed in Round 1 they can score a decent amount of points when they've got their shot together. I know there's some cocky folks in here predicting a towel up and that's fine, to each own. I'm just not a cocky supporter.

I agree you can take nothing for granted in the early rounds. Tigers, Panthers, Dragons are all over the shop. That said, I think it will be a comfortable win in this round, making it a very solid start to the season.

LOL. Yeah fair call. In my defence, alchoholic beverages have played a part in a lot of those posts.

Although it's true I'm slightly more confident about Sydney FC then Cronulla. Not as much psychological damage inflicted over the years I reckon. Besides I think I've been very tame in comparison over the past couple of season in the A-League thread then my earlier years.

These derby games are always tight. I'm also not convinced our defence is up to scratch. Our right hands side was woeful in D and the left not much better on Saturday night.

Raiders were terrible on Saturday. I think Dragons will be up for this game.

2014 Game 1: L (14-12) highlight, Snowman poured a beer on his head when J-MO scores
2014 Game 2: L (30-0)
2015 Game 1: L (42-6) highlight, only try we scored Val dropped it in grounding
2015 Game 2: W (28-8) highlight, Barba Alex McKinnon-ing Ben Creagh
2016 Game 1: W (30-2) highlight, Tagatease smashing DeBellin i think it was in the first tackle after he dropped it cold
2016 Game 2: L (32-18) IMO the most humiliating loss of the season (along with souths)

Our recent history isnt good, and the games have hardly been close. even going back another 5-6 games our record isnt good. We do have the upper hand here in having an all round greater squad, but all that goes out the window on game day if the attitude isnt there

Fair enough. Can't argue with facts. I would have thought it was closer than that.
