Nah wasn't around for round 1, 1967. **** fan.

Ah well, not much you can do about it now ;)

Back to the game though. It's going to be tough for the Goulds and such to keep churning out the old cliches about the Sharks being a boring grind it out, drag teams down to their level kind of team.
We're classy looking now - and very entertaining to watch.

I was surprised to see Coach make the call on no Brailey on the bench... about time we can run out with a 80 min 9.

Woods, Uele, Williams, Bukuya/Capewell

Has to be the best bench in the comp.

The only sht thing is where Flan Jr will go, it would’ve been good to see just how far him and Chad could take it. Atleast the halves both know there will always be pressure on them to play up to a high standard.

I'm guessing Bukuya drops makes way for woods.

Once Woodsy and SJ come back and the combinations have a chance to gel.....no team scares me.

Very true.. the only thing that would get me was the over reliance we had on Fifita but now that literally every one else is stepping up we’re stronger then ever in the forwards.

Uele is a massive plus.

Yeah it's the risk you take though. No different to if Ennis went down in 16.

Not when Paulo was in the lineup.

Interesting that Capewell played hooker to finish the game when they were up by 30. Maybe a bit of an audition.

Honestly think our team at full strength is bettter than 2016 by a slither, mainly our bench. That is an exciting prospect considering it’s a considerably younger team then that of 2016 so this could be our team (similar) for the next 5 or so years.

I agree we are a better team than 2016 due to our depth and I feel a smarter and more tactical coach , the structure of the team and game plan has kept us in the race for a premiership
Over the next few weeks we have the return of key players SJ and AW and the return of Wade last night which was a revelation in its self My prediction is Woods will struggle to keep his bench position over the likes of Williams and Uele. We will see Woods and Bukuya play Canterbury Cup this year. Then the Flannigan/ Johnson dilemma .

There's no way that a fit Woods isn't in our squad. I'd even drop Prior before him.

Gee they are looking good. That pass from feki in to Chad to score was brilliant to watch and I wish the flick from Moyza stuck. It reminded me of the old days pre Sticky. Xerri looks like ET in his speed and danger.

I think that we will be better than the 2016 side. I hope the result is the same.

Having these kids and this coach for a few years could be a golden era.

Yeah but I think the roosters and rabbits are better than the storm were in 2016 so we are probably still 3-4th on the list for best teams however on our day we can beat anyone we just need to cut out the errors and not let teams back into games.

I rate Bukuya and would love them both but Capewell is on a much higher level.
