Could it happen to a better bloke? Good on him. Some players just get the job done no nonsense and he was that guy.

Good on him. I’m Following him on insta looks like he and his family are really enjoying
It over there.

That's a lookalike family he's renting to do his social media. That's how much money he's making.

Weird ground...so many different coloured lines... Aston Sims last game as well I think they mentioned pre game. I did smile when they referred to Toronto’s attacking weapons in Leutele and Chase Stanley.
Well done Ricky

I wonder if they'll be trying to swoop in on another couple NRL players now to strengthen their squad

You would expect they will make a splash. They’ll have the same salary cap rules as everyone else in the SL for next year, but they are able to offer some extra things outside the cap, which make it an attractive place to sign (e.g. accommodation and travel expense for family).

Having lost Sims, who I assume played an important role for them as a leader of the forward pack I wonder if they'd approach someone like a Fifita.
Likely to go well in ESL (see bro David), big personality (without getting in too much trouble these days), exiting player to attract fans to them, they know he already has a mate there

To keep on players from our team Moylan could probably get close to a Man of Steel if the rest of their squad played decent and he stayed healthy (it'd be ironic). He'd tear it up over there.
Think Dugan's style wouldn't translate quite as well, being more power based, but sure he'd still go well, just not as likely to be a regular MOM.
Think Prior is looking at other clubs in England but is another that could be of interest to help lead their pack as he is very experienced.

Isn't the salary cap there less than half of ours? Not sure too many clubs would shell out relatively big coin for the likes of Fifita and Moylan.

Think their minimum wage is also much less so a lot of the clubs shell out big on a couple players (English internationals or NRL players) and afford that based on the fact most of their squad are on relatively low contracts.

They also get two "marquee" players who only have a relatively small amount of their pay count against cap. They could pay Fifita or a Moylan £500k each and only £150k each counts against the cap.
Not really the case for Toronto but marquee players trained at the club are even cheaper, just £75,000 against the cap. The only requirement seems to be that their total actual wage is above £175k.

Jackson Hastings was Man of Steel, David Fifita was right up there on Man of Steel voting - they'd pay big money for players like Andrew and Moylan who could be right up there with those guys

Bort nailed it.

For ESL the cap is ~$4m AUD but they can basically have 2 guys on big dollars who count very little against the cap (around $500k combined) so it's basically ~$3.5m for 23 players, plus an unlimited amount for your top 2.

If those reported numbers for Leutele are real you think he'd count as one player and they would be looking to add another.

(because it is kinda on topic, right?)
Toronto rumoured to be offering $BW 5 MILLION a season to play for them... as a marquee player it'd count as £150k against their cap
