forget for a second that the sharks lost, as league fans who the **** wants to watch blokes stand around having a conference for 30 seconds about a penalty and then taking 2 minutes to kick a regulation ****ing penalty goal and then seeing that repeated 3 times in a row

not blaming the raiders for that but I should have just walked out then cause obviously the time for the actual football part of the match was evaporating away

if the NRL arn't gunna stop the clock for dead ball situations then give these goal kickers an aggressive 30 second shot clock, step up take your kick or forfeitt it and **** off back to your side of the field. chewing up the clock should not be a viable or legitimate strategy. Let the teams sort it out over 80 mins of actual game time.

what a waste of everyone's night

I've said it before but they should reduce a half to 35 minutes and then do what the AFL does, stop the clock whenever the ball isn't in play.

we would actually see more game time with that system in an average game

on sat very rough cut there would have been what around 5 penalty shots at goal? and around 6 try conversion shots at goal

average these out at about 1.5 mins from when the whistle is blown to play resumes and that's about 16 mins creeping up close to a 1/4 of the game spent watching blokes line up a ****ing kick
that's without factoring in the player conferences, dwadling over to scrums ect. it's **** value for the footy fan and takes away from the contest

that is a massive sook post, we do it and it is genious, someone does it to us and the toys go flying out of the cot

goal kickers have 90 seconds to kick in any situation and croker took advantage of this, smart play

i hope we win a grand final this way

how is it a sook, i feel the same about neutral games I watch, nothing to do with us losing. Sure I am happy if we win but I still wanna watch as much actual footy as possible, I get one Sharks game a week and then the neutral games I hope to see as much action as possible and a good contest

sounds like someone having a tanty

they played that 10 minutes perfectly

were you there? it was bat **** boring, could care less that they played it smart. raiders deserved to win and punished us for our poor discipline, happy to cop the 2 points each time against us for the penalties, not the unnecessary draining down of the clock.
could have sat on my couch at home to watch a union game

found it frustrating that bukuya dropped the ball cold

had to watch 9 minutes of canberra starving uso out of the game

tactically brilliant, somewthing we need to get right before the finals

yes the boogs dropped ball was infuriating just as we were fighting back and got momentum.

canberra tactics were good, my problem isn't with a team employing them (we would do the same if we are smart) , I just take issue with the rules that allow it from a footy spectacle point of view. We all know they are going to slot the goal, I wish we could just get on with things. At least it gives me a chance to take a slash I spose

Genius... You give Canberra more credit than they're due. We were tired, unenthusiastic, slow and sloppy. The whole game.

Just watched the game for the first time... ouch.

The things that seemed to get us that we need to address tonight:
We need an Ennis. Gallen doesn't have the same competitive fire Ennis showed that drove the team.

We really need Maloney. Hope he's fit enough.

Not resting players is taking a toll. Fifita needs less minutes.

Gall needs a (bigger?) rest. His metre are great, but play the ball was a step too slow and nullified his good work.

Bird is injured. Could use a rest even with how important this game is.
