Seymour had a few mistakes, but all playmakers do- even Thurston had a few. Seymour is one of the best tackling 5/8s in the game, and showed it again tonight (one of the reasons our out wide defense has been so good), and he looked dynamic with the ball. We have got to sign him up for next year and show some confidence in him.

I'll agree with Peachey that his short kicking was off, but Noddy and Bird were poor at that as well- it is the one area I feel we really need to fix up, but Seymour is a better prospect for that than Bird or Kimmorley.

Great win up there but I'm getting sick of the heart attack stuff. Just once, I would like us to win a game easily for a change.

Noddy played well, Seymour was good - a few wrong options on the last tackle but he defended well. Snowden will be picked for the next game, he is a man mountain, took the ball up strongly.

Misi did make some good runs but his ball handling is terrible and his read in defence on the first Cowboy try was pretty bad.

Gallen and Bird backed up well, I thought Fraser Anderson was a bit quiet tonight, scored a good try but didn't see much after that. Covell showed glimpses of his previous form and his goal kicking was a bit better although he only had two difficult ones.

Will be very tough at home for the next one against Brisbane without Bird and Gallen, they are morals to get picked for Origin. All the others will have to take a step up to fill those spots. Ricky will probably drop Dougie back into the second row for Gallen's spot and bring Snowden in up front but I'm not sure who they'll bring in at lock, Cooper maybe?????

Anyway a great win in Townsville and I got my preview prediction wrong, I should have said Sharks by 6 not Cowboys by 6. Probably a bit of reverse pyscology there.

thanks for the reporting, team. and good win, sharkies. It's good to see (hear) us finally score more than 20 points.

family dinner meant that I couldn't see the game ... haven't seen my Dad in 6 months, so hopefully that's a worthy excuse.

and sharkdog, why send me a PM telling me to f off and that I'm the most annoying person ever?

snowden looked good while he was on.
bird and gallen backed up well.
noddy had a good game.

misi, cooper and seu-i'm not sure i want them in first grade.
(what happened to peak?)

i think we are improving slowly-just need to watch those flat spots that seem to appear in our game.

why send me a PM telling me to f off and that I'm the most annoying person ever?

ehehehehhehehehehe :p

look at teams like melbourne,brisbane,canberra,penrith

there not affraid to give the younger players ago..no harm in trying, the younger players bring enthusiasm..which is what we need

also after we scored our first try..bird screamed to the other players..

There was no doubt whatsoever about the try to Webb, but there was a fair bit of doubt about the try awarded to O'Donnell.

Yeah Webb did score a pretty soft try, beat Cooper on the outside and Noddy on the inside. But apart from that I thought our defence was really on song tonight, the boys really aimed up when it counted.
