i swear, the benifit of the doubt is the stupidest ruling in the game. we already have enough grey areas in the game without adding another to try scenarios.

the commentator says, you cant see if he got the ball down.....then in that case you shouldnt be able to rule a try. trys need to be as yes/no, black/white as possible....unless you can proive 100% the ball is down ro whatever, it should be no try, simple as that

I reckon,i mean what does "the doubt" mean.do they "doubt" its a try and give it anyway or do they "doubt" it isn't a try and give it?Or is it both?
O'Donnels try last night was not a try.2 reasons-
1.the ball hit covells leg while O'Donnell was regathering:Knock-on.
2.There was absolutley no evidence of the ball being grounded, let alone look like being grounded for a benefit ruling.

I've just been having a look back at the stats from Saturday night's game, and one of the things I find most concerning is the amount of defence our halves are being forced to do. Despite both sides having roughly equal share of possession (52% Cowboys, 48% Sharks) and us having an excellent completion rate of 84% (32 from 38 sets), Seymour had to come up with 29 tackles (Burns and Watts made 28 between them) and Kimmorley 26 (Thurston made 14) - it's a wonder that our attack was as effective as it was. It must be an area of real concern for Ricky that our playmakers are using up so much gas on defence, something that has been a real feature of our season so far and no doubt something that has severely hampered our attacking game.

and we missed about 40 tackles. one of our big strengths is scrambling defence so we kinda make up for it

I agree, they have limited options without Bowen, but I also thought Burns was a big loss too. I like the way he plays.
