Like me and slide said, this performance is what the team is capable of, I really don't care if we limp to the finals I know we have to squad to perform when it matters

Today after a bad loss the side needed to perform and it did.

An NRL season is a marathon, not a sprint. A premiership defence is even more so.

Top 4 should be the goal at the moment - and then from there who knows.

I'm not gonna kid myself and say we've good all season, but we're hanging in there.

There's been plenty of ups and downs, and as good as today was, there'll be more to come.

The 2 reasons why I think we'll be there when the whips are cracking (despite at times showing indifferent form) are:

- we haven't lost 2 in row all year

- we've aimed up in some pressure away games when a lot experts have written us off

What was pleasing was the way we attacked their backline when we had the ball, they're all great with the ball but defensively not so.

It seems to me like we had patience in attack finally, we played a bit deeper too. Guys like bird and leutele were also given the ball with a bit of time to get a few step in before thinking bout a pass.

I feel that a big difference in our attack today was townsend was ball playing right at the line rather than a couple of metres before the line. You could see the confusion it was creating in the roosters defensive line.

What an awesome display by our boys and against quality opposition too. Finally we held onto the ball and our attack looked so much better.
Best game of the year for us; I was a little worried about this game especially after last week's effort but our boys showed why we are the reining Premiers.
Up Up Cronulla!!

For the first time this year we did not have a bad player on ground.

Even taga and Beale were good and I've been extremely critical of them this year

I missed the first 10 mins and I had to go out with ten to go and the score 38-12.

Amazing performance and one that should have the confidence level right up.

First half was tight and I thought the Roosters deserved to be closer at halftime. For a while it seemed that the Roosters were making more metres than us and really getting a roll on. We really needed that try to go 20-12 up.

24-0 in the second half did not expect that at all. Fluent attack with everyone doing their part.

Luke Lewis.

Can't say anymore there aren't enough superlatives to describe this bloke.

First half defensively there were some poor moments, what Bird and Chad were doing for Matterson's try is anyone's guess.
The Tupou try was absolutely brilliant but we fell off so many easy tackles.

Overall none of us can complain about this game, easily our best of the year.
I thought Paulo was better at 9 than Nu, I'd reverse them but we should have Seggy back by then.
