Hey all my fellow Sharkie fans...!!! Well what a 2008 it has been for the mighty Sharks!

We have gone through a massive season this year... Losing Lance Thompson kicked off the blows, losing Reece Williams for the year was another blow, losing Paul Gallen for 6 or so weeks on suspension was another blow, Greg Bird being an idiot off-field and causing mayhem was another blow and losing Brett Seymour the week before our semi-final against Melbourne was our final nail in the coffin... but amongst all that we topped the competition with the 2008 and 2007 PREMIERS! Both Manly and Melbourne have been the bench marks for the NRL for the last 2 seasons... and we finished equal with them!!

Yeah we may of lost that last bit of gas that we needed against Melbourne... but i am proud of what the Sharkies did this year, the unsung heroes like Ben Pomeroy, Luke Covell, Brett Seymour, Brett Kearney, David Simmons, Kade Snowden, Isaac De Gois, Ben Ross & Grant Millington, to our already superstars in Greg Bird (before being stood down), Paul Gallen & Brett Kimmorley really showed why they are some of the best players in this competition!

As we start off-season training for the new year, come some changes that may be just that perfect touch... Yes, we lose Brett Kimmorley, Isaac De Gois and possibly Greg Bird... but we pick up Australian Back-rower Anthony Tupou who i think will cause a deadly combination with fellow Australian back-rower Paul Gallen... with also Trent Barrett and Corey Hughes coming in, they are going to bring alot of needed experience, to give these younger lads some lessons...

Corey Hughes has often been noted as a waste of a buy on here, i think the opposite, injury-free i think he can do what Ben Kennedy did for Manly... they signed an old but talented back-rower who has won a premiership with another club like Hughes (bulldogs 04' and also competed as a halfback in the 98' nrl grand final) and gave some inspiration to the younger blokes at manly like Glenn Stewart & Anthony Watmough, who are now themselves NRL Premiership players and Australian test stars! Corey can show blokes like Blake Green, Terence Seu Seu and Jason Buyuka a taste of his experience, i think especially Seu Seu, will take a massive leaf out of his books!

I can't wait for 2009 to roll out again. this year was a heart breaker, but I'm ready to start the ride again!
