I despise that Journalists have become or attempted to become celebrities through TV, Digital Media and Newspapers - I hate it.
They have lost the art of reporting on a game of football with adding their "opinion". If you were to read an article from yesteryear it was about the game with the players being the focus.
They have a core business to sell, and that criteria will be met by any ways or means.
Exhibit A - Phil Rothfield
For someone who "allegedly" supports our Club, he has no issues in writing and reporting negative stories which damage our brand. My feeling is that "The Story" always comes before the Clubs well being.
Modern Journalists have also lost the ability to be objective and accurately report events - again comes back to selling.
The irony for me is, that if a genuine objective media were to emerge and just cover the footy - I believe that they would be a huge success and be given the privilege to break the big stories, because they would have the TRUST of the Clubs.

Mostly bull****. They're only interest is writing a story that's going to pull the most cash, if they are prepared to exaggerate the truth or just plainly lie. Then that's what they are going to do. Media has been like that forever.
