Tough call at the time but in hindsight it was what had to happen. The club has gone from strength to strength since then.

He is still the best half back in the NRL that doesn't play half back.

And IMO he is in the top 8 half backs in the game at the moment easily, despite not playing there.

I agree Mark look at how he goes when Prince is out the man is a freak.... He would go down as one of the club legends if he was still here.

he's a very good halfback and whenever he fills in their he seems like he loves it, can't believe no one has tried to make a play for him

These days he is an excellent 'fill-in' for the halves, but I wouldn't want him in the defensive line for the full 80mins, week-in week-out. As immortal as he seems, he is physically past it.
He'll make an excellent impact player off the bench next year ;)

The Anderson cleanout meant we lost a whole generation of club legends, and our last five years have been fraught- we haven't had that senior group to lead the way, and hence we've had to bring in blokes like Baz, Noddy, Thomo, Hughes, Morris and now Best and Smith.

That is very true the Presto one hurts me the most. I would give anything to go back in time and stop Cronulla from hiring Anderson. Would have won it atleast once by now I reckon but isnt hind sight a beautiful thing.
