Premiership Contenders 2013 ?

No one can argue Flanno has acquired some proven performers for 2013 namely Lewis Gordon and Wright and possibly Ryan and Heighington and the subsequent loss of Smith. The thorn in our side is origin over that 6 week period this year we lost momentum and with subsequent injury to key players we struggled to stay in the Top 8. We will lose Gallen and Lewis maybe carney.

Best is a pretty big loss too IMO obviously not a huge one but he was one of our better players this season.

i actually wouldnt be surprised if jonno wright was brought in to replace best in the centres

Unfortunately you can't do much with injury. I think given his time and with more depth and quaility in the backs he would of rested Carney for a few weeks to freshen him up. Next year with Gordon at the back who can create trys like B Stewart, Billy Slater or a fully fit Gardner he may feel like Robbo and Townsend can handle it. Also if we can snag a bye or two over the origin period we can go into the finals fresher. If carney, lewis, graham and Gallen are close to 100% fittnes you throw in Fifita Gordon Gardner and Gibbsy we will be hard to stop in the finals.

I agree, Origin time really hurt us. Let's hope the NRL see the light and fairly distribute the byes next season.

Great team best I have seen for sharkies,but Luke Lewis is awesome in the centres(pom a struggles with side to side defensive tasks )but with Lewis there poma stays,gallen in prop is the best so we have graham,bukuya,tupou as the back three,fifita as interchange.and as something way out there wright to wing to replace feki who struggles with the high ball.interchange of fifta,tagatese,de gois, Nathan gardiner as a X factor to come on replace pomma.i know these chances are severe but big possibility they will work.current team setup is a real roughie against roosters,storm or rabbits
