I don't think there is a player who frustrates me more than Pomeroy. Those who have seen my posts on Sharksforever will know that somewhere between 90-95% of my posts are about the bloke.
If he could kick, catch, pass and be rid of the mental gaps in defence, he probably could have been the greatest centres of all time.

You tell me you have never watched J Lyon and wished our centres could do that, its almost a guarantee of a repeat set of a try in the corner... I would love to see Pom grubbering to the corner and a flying Ike beating his opposition to the ball..

I love Jamie Lyon, best centre in the game IMO but how many centres can do that?
It would be nice but certainly not overly important for a centre having a kicking game.

yea I was being sarcastic but spose I didn't exclusively refer to kicking as the skill.
Look at Poms who traditionally hasn't been able to pass or catch very well yet he hasn't been completely useless in our team and has been leading try scorer in our team some years.
He's gotten by on raw power and a good fend. I'm not suggesting this means he's a great centre or anything but the blokes got the skillset of a very average back rower. The way our team is with current roster, I wouldn't play him in any other position.
If I was shopping for a centre however, passing and catching would be high on my list and frankly expected. Kicking would simply be a bonus.

Agree with that. If we had decent centres and were short on backrowers I'm sure he would have been moved there.
