Pledge Per 2010 Try Scored

First of all I want to say a big well done to Fitz and any others involved for the fund raising initiatives.
Ive had an idea that I wonder if anyone else will join me in. I am willing to pledge $5 or $10 (havent decided) for each try the sharks score this year. This can go in each month to the Sharksforever account and put towards worthwhile causes. Spread over a season the money wont be noticed too much out of my pocket. If a number of us get together and chip in whatever we can afford it might be a nice little fundraiser.

It's actually a great idea.... though I think everyone will be a bit strapped for cash after these last two. I don't want people to start crossing the road to avoid the beggars

Maybe we could do it for a specific game a bit later in the year and build it up? Just a thought.

Don't get me wrong, a great idea and I hope it works out but at this point I am quite strapped for cash and am sort of in a place where I'm quite open to one-off causes where I can see the significance, like for this recent one for Porter.

I do think it is a very noble idea tho and will certainly keep an eye on it in case I can spare a dollar on two at some point.

Well done for taking the initiative grozzy... Count me in for a minimum of $1 per try.

To put this in perspective, this initiative runs over the whole season, so you have about 30 weeks to come up with your pledges (incremental deposits here will make it even easier).

This thread is a great opportunity for those who don't have a lot of spare cash to still be able to contribute to a worthy cause, be part of the Team, and have some fun at the same time.

Sharks scored 64 tries last year, so a rough gauge would be that each $1 you pledge will = $65-$85 ($2-$3 p/w).

Pledging 10c per try is perfectly OK ($1 p/month).

• I also pledge $10 for each individual maiden NRL try in Sharks colours.
  
• I pledge $20 for each individual double.
  
• I pledge $30 for each individual hat-trick.
  
• I pledge $10 for each time the Sharks score six tries in any game this season
  
• I pledge $10 per try (above six) that the Sharks score in any game this season.
  
• I pledge $43 for every try that the Sharks score against Manly in Round 5.

Make your own rules based on what you can afford.

The main reason I suggested it is that a small ammount each week would be alot easier rather than larger one-off payments. I spent more than I anticipated on membership and jersey this year so I wont be donating huge ammounts.
