Okay, now, im a true sharks fan.. and always have been (for my 16 or so years on earth) i own 5 sharks jerseys, bed and pillow covers .. and yes my love for the side is more then materialistic. However, it must be said that my patience has been tested during the last 3 seasons, and the way i see the club and its future has chnaged.

2008 was a year of happiness, however 2009 (losing kimmorley degois seymour and bird , the 4/5 best players in the 2008 team) and 2010 (losing ricky and it practically being a 1 man team) really has tested and questioned my love for the team.

the way the club is managed MUST change: and soon. Cronulla doesnt have the pulling power like one of the big 4 clubs (Brisbane, Roosters, Dragons and Melbourne) and i cant ever see it having the ability to get out of the 43 year rut.

sure there has been there ups, however, the club is more likely known for its times in the wreck. I have thought about changing clubs several times this year, and although this isnt easy for me to say, the want to move on grows stronger each day.

My question is, have you ever had these thoughts, or wanted the club to report bankruptency so you can move on to another side.

please dont hate me
:(

if u cant handle something as trivial as a football side losing, u wont be able to handle real life problems ull be faced with as u grow up dude. I dont let it get to me, cos really, if the Sharks were to go down, well Id still be alive, and youd get over it.

I don't get how you could just move on to another team and not give a **** about the sharks, even if we were to go bankrupt I couldn't see myself supporting a team like I do the sharks. Give yourself a good whack.

Here is an idea....winning isn't everything if you care about that then go and barrack for the Sea Eagles. Honestly grow a pair and stop pretending to be a supporter. 2008 yes it was a good year and we lost to an illegal Melbourne Storm Team but if you have any respect for what the sharks are and what they do then follow them to the ends of the earth. Honestly if you were a fan you would support them all the way through the good and the bad I have and I have never regretted it!!!!!

Wooloo-where??
Hey Sharky7. Stick with us
I've followed the Sharks since about '72-73. Passionately. There have been lots of (too many) bad times but when the good times come, boy are they great!! You never know with the Sharks what they are going to dish up..... but you know that one game sooner or later, they will put it together. We sharks supporters just need patience.

Just a few recent examples that keep me coming back to watch MY team;
- Gardner's 95m try v chooks, out of nothing

- 11 Nil win v the Eels to avoid that unwanted record

- We were down 18-0 at half time against cowboys up there this year. We were woeful in the 1st half. One of the best comebacks of all time. I stood a good few inches taller that night

- Covell's "will he or won't he make it" 40m try against the Titans a month back

- 4 wins straight last year(the one against warriors was exceptional - i sat in the sun in a tee shirt on a beautiful winters arvo at our own Shark Park for most of the 3 grades. Probably had a few too many ales but boy did i sing that victory song after performing so well in all 3 grades)

- Watching from the southern stand at Shark Park a few months ago against Dragons when Soward was lining up a sideline conversion right in front of the Sharks Supporters' Bay.... all chanting "Soward's a wanker, Soward's a wanker" He missed the kick. A pure classic moment in sport.

-Gal's unbelievable performance each week. More metres than any other player this year, and 2-6 were backs. Don't have the stats in front of me but he was something like 5th or 6th in tackle count and similar in offloads.

- Snowden's call up to Origin (and seeing Dougie there in the Blues jersey as 18th man in the sheds before kick-off)

- Keeping tabs on the progress of lower grade players like Jourdo, Snelson and Roquoko, etc. They will be our 1st graders in a year or so

There's also many great memories of being at Shark Park in the late 70's/early 80's on a Sunday arvo (seemed to rain more times than not then). It was the era of the Sharks open, attacking football with side to side and length of the field tries. A vivid memory i have was when our own Steve Rogers got the ball at approx the try line on the south eastern corner to score a 100m try in the north eastern corner. A good 30 seconds after he scored he was still on all fours dry-reaching from the effort he put in. (can't remember the game or year bi=ut probably about 77 or 78)

Anyway mate, there are many more memories to come for the Sharks and there supporters……. BE ONE OF THEM!!!!

sharky 7, mate i am as passionate sharkies supporter as you will find. I'll be honest, through the recent hard times, the thought has crossed my mind "gee it would be easier to follow another team" or "maybe i should have chosen the dragons when my mum was in couraging me to when i was a youngin", then i give me self an uppercut and remember that ONLY ONE TEAM CAN WIN EACH YEAR, and when we do win, the win will be even more sweeter.
