To me this highlights how bad Poms is with handling. 18 errors is waaay to many when you compare it to our forwards who all have less errors and handle the ball much more.

So with Gards error count is he worse than Poms? Or what about TT with no errors and Gallen with 10, does that mean TT is a better player than Gallen when playing with the ball in hand?

Gards error count is rather high, higher than I expected. There is an article in this week's big league about Gards describing him as an aggressive risk taker. Errors are inevitable for the risks that he takes.

Oh yea TT is so much better than Gal:rolleyes:

:lmao

Interesting ideas there S1. Look at the difficulty of some of the things Gards has to do.

As for TT vs Gallen that does not even justify a response.

There is no doubt Pomeroy is dangerous when he holds onto the ball HOWEVER what Mr Wright was saying is his error rate is too high which I agree with.

oh i keep forgetting to insert these

I just can't justify the Poms bashing when his over all stats aren't the worst in our squad...

I know you didn't mean it but yeah I can understand why Mr Wright is annoyed with the errors. There is no doubt he is a good player but he annoys the **** out of me between his errors and his defensive errors.

Check out the Pom thread, there are some stats there against centres from other teams, may surprise you.

The only reason people notice is because his errors always seem to be in bad situations for us, i cant remember how many times i have said to myself while watching a game #### if poms catches that we score. But in saying that i think he is really worth keeping he is a lot better than he used to be and when his confidence is up he can be awesome.

Obviously Gards is involved much more than Poms and is put in higher pressure situations. Same with Gal, often he has 4 blokes tackling him and trying to stop that offload at all costs with hands all over the ball. With him also pushing a few uneccessary passes early in the year that all adds up.

Where as Poms errors are often easy drop balls, loose carries etc.

Ease up? I was showing how stats can be twisted to suit your need/wants. You can make a player look good or bad by throwing up stats. Do you honestly believe i rate TT over Gallen? If you did, you are a goose!

But again, to say Poms deserves to go because of his error count, look at the other players first. Check out the Pommeroy thread and see him againt opposition centres.

For the record I have never said that. I think a combination between his errors, his defensive reads and his lack of ability to set up his outside man drop his value significantly. As it is he is on too much money, if we have to re-sign him for that much I want him to go.

I love an on fire Pomeroy as much as anyone and I do like the bloke he just frustrates the **** out of me.
