Did u guys hear in the Sharks match how the radio commentators pronounced Filigas name like Fe-ling-a instead of just Filiga?

Is that the right way or is the way we spell it the right way?

Whiz is a Kiwi, he might of got it right.

I think I posted something like this somewhere a while back about how the hell we call it. Wasn't long after the name change I think.

Personally I don't give a toss what the commentators call him, as long as their calling him in connection with good play.

yep, i have noticed that, especially in the game after the first origin, gallen couldnt hold the ball at all, but he worries defenders each carry, nutley doesnt. i think thats a big difference. bird and gallen tend to make defenders think twice and draw defenders, opening up holes for second phase play.

and gal and bird are fave's of mine so im gunna be biased.....

and peeky has been dropping a few balls of late too, but neither him nor nuts are in the realm of joel clinton.... he is allergic to catching a football

as for filiga, there a blokes on this forum who would drop bird for filiga, and quite possibly have a life size poster of filiga on the roof above thier bed.....

its called exageration.... but i do think that people on here have been calling for filiga to be promoted long before he is ready, on the back of nothing in particular. it almost seems like "hey, hes got a cool name, he must be awesome, he should be promoted to 1sts"

he runs strong, but doesnt run often, and is soo slow to play the ball when he does that he loses the benefit of such a run, and goes missing when he is tired.

i just reckon guys like peek, who do the job without all the fanfare, are better for the team. i think he's been worth every cent, but filiga isnt showing me he has been a value buy, considering the rumoured pay

but thats just my opinion.

I agree

I think you will find that most haven't been able to see him play in the lower grades like you have and they want to find out how this young guy really is, Ricky hasn't singed him up because he is his love child.

Well he is only young and has a lot to learn and you obviously don't think he is ready yet and maybe he isn't but I for one am looking forward to the next couple of years he has with us.
