Petro @ 70 cents a litre (Petero Civoneceva) has reached a gridlock with the Broncos and does not wish to go the UK!!

Should the Sharks offer him a contract?

What do you guys think?

well sharks are apparently interested and since stuart told ben ross to get stuffed i think its a good idea he will bring a lot of experience and can help dougie and the other young forwards like selmes and weston develop and teach em a thing or 2

Please! Great player, and QLD champ too. But he's after (from what I've heard) 400K over 3 years. He's 31. Ross is like 26 and already signed on that cash for another 2 or so years. Keep him. I love Petero but we've already got an expensive origin prop - stick it out with him.

If the Sharks can broker a deal that can work well with both the Club and Petro I say grab him. He's not from the same mould as Ben Kennedy, but he can extend the same kind of service for the Sharks as what Ben Kennedy did for the chickenhawks. Ben Kennedy is a huge reason why the chickenhawks are where they are now.

his experience in the sharks forward along with thommo will be invaluable, he will be 1 off the best buys off the year (if we got him)

I sign him up, but dont like the idea of giving him 400K a season, maybe the sharks and Brisbane can do some sort of deal where they take Ross, that would free up enough for Petro.

Seriously there is no way we can afford, our front row to be costing 800k.... and lets face it, Ross ain't woth half of that and either will Petro in his final two years of the contract.

Over pay? Half their squad is probably under paid cause they signed long term deals before reaching their full potential. With the exception of Slater and Inglis who resigned since becoming the stars they are. Lets hope the Sharks are circling for the scraps after it comes time to renew Cameron Smith's contract. He'll force some people out of Melbourne for sure.

whats sad about the storm is that they're doing so well, but no one in melbourne cares!! if we were doing as well as the strom are, we'd be going nuts
