ok,since this bloke has become chairman the sharks have gone through 4 coaches(inc stuart)and have gone from a great team to a good team to an average team to a just plain pathetic team,is it just me or does this bloke seem to b part of the problem.seems to me everything he does just turns to crappola.i say bring back peter gow....NOW.everything he touched turned to gold,we probably would have won a comp if he had stayed as chairman.

Yes...but could be a bit harsh to single out Bazza, sure he is the chairman but he is far from the only dinosaur on the board!

i agree maegashark, he isn't the only one that is making us dwindle there are others that just aren't being shown up because they aren't the chairman.

Bring back Gow

We wouldn't have to pay Gow he is a wealthy man in his own right. He came when we were broke, got us Lang and Richardson, then got us back on our feet. While saving money. Then I agree he shouldn't have done what he did, but to say thanks we shafted him. And then pretty quickly we shafted Richardson then Lang.

I think those 3 should have been the 1st ones in the Sharks hall of fame.

Also when they were here there was no discent, everyone knew their job and did it.

If the current board spent less time lining their own pockets and more time concentrating on making a great club we would be half way back to where we were.

People say, but they didn't win a comp. Really, rebuilding a club that was broke, turning it into an almost perpetual finalist, with the lowest turnover of players, while making money. Thats more than this lot could do, even if we could find a way of increasing their IQ's by 40points each and teach them to leave the money in the till where it belongs.

Too true Sempa.

I also have to agree, it's not just Barry, the whole board needs a shake up - Myself and many others here have been saying so for a while now....

...and I bet if you look at the "independant review" it would say the same thing.

Gow had the passion. Even though he was a made man. I remember he coped a lot of flack for cutting up a Dragons jumper at the club, I'd say well done. He also has a hot daughter even though she's over 40 now. For those of you who didn't know she is Elle McPherson supermodel.

Yes as a club we have shafted quite a few down the years, haven't we?

Steady on Nobby, I think Elle is married with kids by now isn't she? (having said that she would still look particularly hot in a Mermaids outfit!) :p

Guys, as much as i too liked what Gow did for the club, many of you are either conveniently forgetting, or didn't know of, the turmoil he created towards the end. Richardson wasn't shafted, he left because he couldn't work with Gow any longer. Gow was out of control and treated the club as his own fiefdom. He was involved in scuffles in the grand stand with officials from other clubs, he was involved in that infamous scene at King Wan after the St George game. The Liquor and Gaming Department and the police even ruled him unfit to hold a licence to run a leagues club. Basically Gow made a lot of enemies during his eight years at the sharks, and that's why he will never be back in control. But you have to admire the man for loving the sharks, probably too much.

Yes Hammerhead I heard about all that stuff, but as usual in that situation didn't know what or who to believe, same goes for the Ando situation. Let's just say that as a club we have a long history when it comes to those types of acrimonious disputes in the administrative and coaching areas, for some reason or other.

I thought the Club were far too harsh on Gow.

From memory, he paid the fella for the jersey, which made it Gow's property to do what he wanted with.

The unfortunate thing when you're the CEO of anything, is if someone who can't control their temper decides to snot you one, you can't be seen to be fighting back and esculating a situation.

Gow did financial wonders for the Sharks, and who knows how engorged their coffers would be now if he were still at the helm.

he sure did,and as soon as he handed the money to the red and white f---face it was his to do wat he wanted,it was then certain red and white f----ers decided to step in and make a story out of the whole situation.

Question

Firstly I think Gow was fantastic for us and would have him back in a minute.

But we can't forget the assistance provided by the drag queens when we set up. Whether we like it or not we owe them a lot. Further cutting up a proud jersey, anyones jerey is a bad look.

I would be seriously pi**ed if another teams CEO cut one of ours up.
