Has all the makings of a bit of a shitshow.

Gallen too old, past it, and not been fighting for a couple years (end 2022 v Hodges) but SBW is 39 and his last fight was the same month, losing to Mark Hunt.

Can only hope the years of sexual tension have them both having had serious training programs and digging deep for the fight.

Hope Gal wins - fully agree he would have if the fight was held any other year - I guess if he loses though he was always only in it for the payday, and with SBW waiting until he was retired from fighting and 43 how much can you really care if you lost.

Interesting. At his peak, Gallen would have wiped the floor with SBW. I still think he can win.
SBW is a foot taller, younger, with a much longer reach, but I'm not sure he's capable of copping too many blows.

If Gal can get a few good ones in who knows...

I watched SBWs last fight and was seriously underwhelming. Gal will be the much better boxer

Can't say I have much interest. I saw a bit of the press conference on 100% Footy the other night. I know it's just how boxing is, but it's just such rubbish.

Yeah there is a lot of fart arsing about for 2 blokes to go and punch each other. It’s all part of the show but that does nothing for me. At least Paul is honest about it with his main gripe being that SBW does a **** job promoting the fight and that annoys Gallen because he wants more money and he knows that garbage gets it.

Gal reckons he has earned $25m from boxing. Silly money for a footballer boxing but good luck to him, if people want to see it so be it.
An incredible use of his fitness, toughness and willingness to shittalk.
Most of the cards he was on only existed because of him too, so gave a lot of other people opportunities while he was at it

Apparently got a million for that fight, 1.1 for Huni and 1.3 for the Hodges/Hannant double. You'd think Hall and Hunt would be up towards the mil then also.
If his other fights averaged 500k each that'd have him at about 10-11mil, and quite likely they actually average a little higher than that.

Throw in sponsorships and if he had any sales or promotional kickbacks and the number isn't too crazy I suppose. Especially if before expenses.

Crazy to think he's made more from boxing than footy!
