Pat did follow John LANG to the Panthers and last year did make some 1st grade appearances, however in recent times he has been dropped from Premier League

Agreed prawn, I cannot understand why we let him go to the Titans, he's been one of our better players for a few seasons now and can cover hooker, lock and also the halves...our loss, their gain.

I am not disagreeing with you Prawn, Hilder is a big loss. Sadly it is but no fault of his own he has been let go.

My understanding is that he was told the end of 2005, his future at the club was at backrow because they had Latu, Kingston and Caine, so he bulked up big time and got the size required, obviously that effected his speed and mobility, then came sackings and injuries and he was left in limbo. I really feel for him. He is quality.

Hilder was recommended to the Titans by Anderson, to me that is a big compliment.

Sad loss.

Well if that is true Great White then it is somewhat ironic because we now have more depth in the backrow than any other area. Also if I remember correctly Hilder was actually a backrower when he first came into grade here, before going on to play hooker/dummy half. Interestingly, the Titans seem to see him as a prospective halfback or five-eighth because that is where he is listed on the team sheet on their website. A versatile player, and a big loss to us for sure...

Well, Russell Aitken was signed to the Melb storm because they watched a video of him playing premier league and he killed it, what they didn't realise was the video they were watching was actually Matt Hilder killing it at 5/8.

John Cartwright called Anderson to get his opinion on Hilder and Anderson could not stop wrapping him.
