Being interstate I am totally out of the loop of how to buy GF tickets, attending also means flying across the country, so I can't commit $ until we make it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best options to purchase GF tickets ASAP after we qualify for the Grand Final?

Appreciate any assistance/suggestions/options - will be chasing three tickets.

And if anyone is wondering in 2016 I bought tickets 3/4 of the way through the season and just committed to going regardless and it paid off, but I can't afford to attend this time if it's not going to be Cronulla playing.

(and hello to anyone on here who still remembers me...)

Hey Boort,

You wouldn't have been one of the two guys and Son, that was on the train on the way in to 2016 GF? Reckon I might've spoken to you regarding the gutsy move to book all up so early in that year?

May well have been as I was with my dad and uncle (who are originally from Loftus)

As far as I remember once the teams are finalised x amount of tickets are allocated to members/supporters with a code. Think it was the day after the prelim or something.

Regardless of what you do Bort, the airfares are the biggest sting? At least it was for me in 2016, and I only flew from Brisbane.

Mate in 2016 we qualified the Friday night, I logged on brought 4 tickets lunchtime the following day, with no issues...then later sat night booked 3 nights accomodation at the Mercure right next to central station also no issue at all. Not like afl down here were tickets are often like hens teeth.

Might be different against a Sydney team. Especially if it’s Souths or Saints.

Bort, I did the wait and see thing in 2016 and didnt have a prob getting tix and acc. Hopefully it'll be the same for you this yr.

Talk about ripping people off, it cost me just under $1000 return for just myself in 2016 and then another grand for 4 nights accommodation. Guess they know we would pay just about anything to be there though.

We're flying to NSW after the GF, for Bathurst and it was just over $400 return. Its the Bathurst accommodation that's the killer for this years trip.

I booked after we qualified in 2016 with no problem either mate. Although I was willing to pay anything if it came to it.

Yep that what I recall, was with my son, sorry and I think we spoke about your son who used to play in the WARL. Hopefully we revisit in the 2018 GF!

Yeah flights will be rough but I'll bite the bullet if Sharks are in, fortunately accom isn't as much of an issue as I have family in the Shire still.

If it was us, which it still sounds like it probably was, I think you were probably speaking with my dad.
