Did we make some sort of replica or other memento to pop into the trophy cabinet? It was a pretty big achievement it should have some kind of display.

I just tried to search this site and google for photos.
There is a reference to us being about to win it here but that's the best I can find.
This is the most major trophy we have ever won. I'm surprised I haven't seen a picture on here or in the Leagues Club.

Re our trophy cabinet & only a few things to put in it.
I think we should cheat, by that I mean modify it, on the insides of each side & on the inside of the back line it with mirrors, it will then give a optical illusion like we have multiple trophies in there!

The only reason I know the JJG Shield was kept there was because it was in the foyer of the old NSW RL Building in Phillip Street. I worked up the other end in the Commonwealth Government Centre and I regularly went to the NSW-RL Club for a beer and a meal - decent bistro for its time.
In about 2008, I was asked to do a mock-up for a memorabilia piece for the Stains (yeah, I'll take their money!)
I don't believe it went much further as they didn't get the backers to kick in the cash.
I've searched everywhere and can't find one.
Maybe back then post Super League they didn't bring the shield to the field for a photo op. Pity

There's no way we were awarded that shield at the end of the 99 season - like they do now, usually Round 26 or 1st week of finals.
I do remember looking at it in the Steelers Leagues Club in 2010 or 2011 and seeing that we are engraved into it for 99.
