Gards would be soo much better than wade filling in at 5/8, his defense would be hopeless I dare say but the extra speed in attack would be good.

I'm warming to the idea of him as the bench utility if flash plays fullback.

Yeah I suggested Gards as an impact player some time last year too and the big brains on this forum shut it down fast. There is a tendency on this forum to think inside the square.

I remember posting on the Sharks forum many years ago that we should give Preston Campbell a go at half back. Needless to say I got the full nincompoop treatment from other posters.

yeah it was on the Sharks website, they shut it down reportedly because players were getting upset by some of the posts ...

just before it was shut down I posted that our wingers needed to start using cement bags instead of tackle bags in training and that bungee cords should be utilised to assist in keeping them in the field of play

Probably, I guess being owners of the page would make them in some way responsible for 'publishing' the opinions of the people posting.

I do remember them mentioning players getting upset as one of the major reasons though.

Yeah probably but I thought it was shut down because someone threatened legal action. Can't remember who but I think there were ongoing comments about this certin person by members of the official forum so they threatened us with legal action so the sharks shut it down
