I came across this picture of the Peter Burns stand, those old wooden and metal stands at the front, how times have changed.

Judging by the logo it looks like it could be the early to mid 1970's.

That logo was on our 73 Grand Final jersey but I think the one we all identify with came into being in 1976.

from 1976 it is

yeah it was on eBay, just thought it was a good shot of the stand and then realized what it was.

I would mind it though.

Ahh brings back memories I remember sitting in those old stands in the 80's on the half way line with the original sharks cheer squad, we had flags given to us from cleanaway and use to get to the ground at 9.00am when the gates opened beacause back then we had three grades to watch, under 23's,res grade and 1st grade. Im that old I can remember when the other side of the ground where the ET stand is had the same old wooden stands, oh how times have changed down at Endeavour Field.!

Mandy Sheridan & Terry King – From the Sharks Mouth (Unisound, 1976)

The Cronulla Leagues Club evidently decided to press up this album because their live entertainment was just that good. Terry King and Mandy Sheridan were the lead vocalists in the Sounds United singing group that feature on this album. The back cover uses all its space talking about the board members and how they steered Cronulla Leagues Club our of financial dire straits, so nothing is included about members of the band! The album delivers a variety of covers including ‘Mack the knife’, ‘Breaking up is hard to do’ and ‘I got love.’ They even do their own theme ‘Up, up Cronulla.’ The highlight for me is the quite nice version of Moondance that features Mandy on lead vocal duties and a rather groovy rhythm section. Worth your while if you can find it cheap. 1 x trade copy

Pity the person taking the pic doesn't know how to hold a camera still!
