OK - Norrie and Misi played for the Cobras this afternoon, so won't be on the bench tonight against the Panthers; that opens a spot for Nuts to come into the side.

Norrie played pretty strong. Snowden got a fair bit of game time and he also impressed (didn't even get sent off this time around! ;)). Sam Moa made some good runs and hit hard in defence, while James Storer made some smart plays from dummy half. Millington went OK but looked like he picked up an ankle injury. I don't think Seu Seu played; didn't see him?

As for the backs, Misi played the entire game at fullback and was the Cobras most dangerous attacking weapon, along with Travis Robinson who scored two tries, the second a great solo effort. Jess Caine was good at five-eighth and scored a nice try with only a few minutes left on the clock. I was really looking forward to seeing Karlos and he did some good things in the first half, including scoring the opening try but was quiet in the second 40, when the Vulcans ran a lot of their attacking plays down his side of the park. Jeez he is a big unit; I didn't see him in much open space so it was hard to assess his speed, but I can see why Ricky would be looking at him as a possible backrow option as he really does have the physique for it.

I got a few pretty ordinary photos (nothing on the ones supplied by Nikki or Our Footy!) which I'll try to post on here soon.

Fulltime score was Vulcans 33 Cobras 30 (halftime 10-22); tryscorers were Karlos Filiga, Misi Taulapapa, Travis Robinson and Sam Moa in the first half, and Robinson and Jess Caine in the second.

i think lewis has only been back from injury for 2 or 3 weeks. i saw him vs the tigers and he was very strong defensively. he actually looked alright in the second row

luke lewis has started a lot of games at second row, but tends to shift to lock quite a bit. personally i think that rooney is more suited to second row as he is stronger and taller than lewis, but hey i won't complain if this brings penrith down tonight.
