No, just Shifco was brilliant for the Raiders and if there is a chance to bring him to the Shire, why not take it? It is not like he has retired, he may be a bit old, but he is still playing well, good pickup even for one season IMO.

He is brilliant, move Kearney to Hooker and have Shifco at Fullback.

What???

So you are saying you'd prefer Shifco at fullback than Kearney? Just cos thats what it sounds like you are saying.

No i'm saying that Shifco wouldn't be a bad signing and if we were to sign him, Kearney can shift as he is very adaptable.

Apparently he has been mainly playing on the wing in rugby union, and his goalkicking hasn't been up to scratch either. No way would I want him...if he does return to rugby league, it is likely to be with Les Catalans in the Super League.

That list is mega wrong.

Newton and Franze arent at Newcastle.

WOAH 2 people are wrong... obviously heaps have moved on cause contracts dont mean much when every1 has get out clauses... so obviously its not 100% but its pretty much correct....

I think you will find it is an early last years list.

Please Schif, I may as well don the boots.

Our team is young, we want to build a young strong club. Let's bring Albert back again then.

Firstly, sorry for the mass quoting. Not trying to emulate BUZ, just catching up.

he recently resigned with the raiders for a couple of seasons

what about sonny fai, what a tallent he is going to be, i wish we wouldve beaten warriors to the race, karlos rated him an upcoming super star (maybe cause their good mates):p

Your right, Carney has re-signed with the Raiders for a while. Raiders don't often go too hard to retain players, but this one they surely wouldn't let slip. He's the brightest prospect in a green jersey since our current coach and Loz.

Sonny Fai looks the goods, but really we got young and classy back rowers sewn up.

denan kemp from the broncos, he has pace to burn and can find his way to the try line

Yep. Its obvious that with Falou on his way to Brisbane some backs are gonna be forced to look for new homes. Unfortunately I think there is a few that'd be pushed out before Kemp. Surely they couldn't be offering too much to keep him though. Couldn't hurt to take a look.

Dave Taylor eh. Maybe Matthew head is an option, maybe too similar to Seymour though and a little injury prone but who isnt these days in the NRL.

A back from the Roosters could be on the cards.

Id like to see Carl Webb at the club.

Dave Taylor is the bee's knees when it comes to props of the future. But the Broncos wouldn't let him slip.

I've always rated Matt Head. I reckon he's a born footballer and properly coached i.e. not by Brownie he could be something special. Obviously Sheens sees something too so I can't be too wrong. Unfortunately as you said he's had his fair share of injuries, but I've gotta ask; what Dragon since the merger hasn't? Its a whole other discussion but they're the most injury plagued club of the last decade. Anyway, I'm undecided on Head. I dunno if I'd actively chase him, but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we signed him

Finally to Carl Webb I've gotta disagree for the reasons stated here.

apparently fitzgibbion is off contract... i reckon that'd be an awesome goal kicking signing...

well they wanna get rid off him

Once again, we're sweet for young, quality back rowers IMO. I've got nothing against Fitzy, he's a great player, leader and goal kicker. But we've got leaders and I'm sure we got a decent enough goal kicker. Great White's point below is also relevant here about building a strong young club. If we're in it for the long haul and committed to the side we're building there is no need for a stop-gap old head. Perhaps if we were on the verge and just needed that extra something an established bloke like Fitzy might be on the cards, but we're not in that position at the moment.

Our team is young, we want to build a young strong club. Let's bring Albert back again then.
