Just got back from North Sydney Oval, missed the game unfortunately, as I was at work but I got there just after fulltime.

Had a bit of a chat to a few of the boys and congratulated them on the win. They were all in good spirits and seemed well. Albert Kelly said he was hoping to get back to the NRL squad for at least one game before the end of the seaon but is still struggling with injury and match fitness.

I saw Brod Wright leaving the ground, didn't get a chance to talk to him but he looked fine to me, certainly didn't seem to be injured that I could tell. Then again, I'm not a doctor! (I am however an enthusiastic amatuer gynaecologist!:p)

That is all!:cheers

The Cronulla Sharks hit back after last weeks shock loss with a 36-20 win over the North Sydney Bears.

Both sides came into the game with major changes to the lineups printed earlier in the week. The Bears' were on a high after defeating the much fancied Bulldogs last weekend while the Sharks' were looking to hit back after a shock loss to Western Suburbs.

The visitors had the better of the opening ten minutes of play with a number of sets on the Bears' line coming up fruitless. The Bears were rewarded with first points after the Sharks gave away some cheap possession allowing Greg Nichols to cross in the corner. The Sharks' then enjoyed the rest of the half running in three tries. The first came after a nice dart from hooker Stuart Flanagan who then managed to slip a lovely offload to a flying Albert Kelly who scored beneath the posts. The Sharks' went a converted try ahead in the 24th minute with Atelea Vea doing it all himself, Vea saw a hole, stepped his way through it and scored a very good individual try. The third and final try of the half was again laid on by crafty hooker Flanagan. Eying a gap in the Bears' defence Flanagan accelerated for the hole, got the ball to Kelly who in turn got it off to Jason McGrady who burrowed his way across the line. Smith converted two of the three tries to give the Sharks a 16-4 lead at the games break.

The Sharks' skipped out to a twenty point lead ten minutes into the 2nd stanza with tries to Broderick Wright and Ricky Leutele. Wright's try came off the boot of Kelly who rolled a well timed grubber into the in goal which saw Wright win the race to the ball. Leutele's four pointer was also on the back of a Kelly grubber which ricocheted off a Bears' player back to Kelly who got the ball out to an open Leutele for the try. The Bears' hit back five minutes later with Curtis Johnston coming up with a four pointer. Tries to Kose Lelei and Kelly set the result in concrete for the visitors. Lelei pounced on a nice offload from Sione Kite to race 85 metres for his 4th try of the season. Kelly registered his double five minutes later after a good charge from Vea. The Bears' crossed the stripe twice in the final ten minutes, capitalizing on some generous penalties the Bears' scored through Brendan McKinnon and Jack Shearer.

Good to hear AK returned and had a good game. Flanno has been saying that Townsend is struggling with the rigours of first grade and he wants to rest him. Dont be surprised to see Kelly in the number 7 in first grade next week.

I swear someone else posted that identical thing somewhere else just before

What I said? I posted it in some other threads. Sorry I have a tendancy to repeat myself............I posted it in some other threads. :drunk

If someone else said what I just said, I didn't exactly read through all the pages. So I apologise if someone has said this already.
