NSW Cup Sharks Sneak A Win

The NSW Cup Sharks came from behind, scoring twice in the final five minutes to beat the North Sydney Bears 28-20 in their semi final match.
The Sharks led early through a try to Trent Grubb in the first three minutes of the match but then it was Norths who took the upper hand, with the Bears leading 20-18 with time ticking down.
However after some sustained pressure it was Storm second rower Robbie Rochow who crashed over to put the Sharks ahead, before a last minute try adjacent to the posts to Siasaia Vave confirmed the win.
Other try scorers for the Sharks included hooker Stuart Flanagan and halfback Tim Smith, who collected a Kose Lelei cross kick late in the second half to narrow the gap and set up the exciting Sharks comeback victory.
For the Bears, who led 20-6 at the break, they can consider themselves unlucky after putting in a determined effort for the majority of the contest. It was a case of what might have been for the North Sydney side as they wilted under the final onslaught from the Cronulla team.
With the other matches complete and results in for the weekend the Tony Herman coached Sharks will now play Wentworthville next Sunday in a match to be played at Leichhardt Oval at a time to be confirmed.
The Bears will face the Newtown Jets, while Auckland and Canterbury will enjoy a week off before facing the winners of next Sunday's games in what will be Grand Final qualifying matches.
