NSW Cup 2011?

Does anybody know if we will be fielding an NSW Cup team next year? I assume not, but thought there may have been some developments that I've missed?

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard a rumor that Newtown's deal with Easts runs out then end of this season. The whispers I heard is we may try to strike some kind of partnership. Anyone else heard that as well?

we did that a few yrs ago & it wasnt that much of a success, cant see us or them re opening that idea again

Yeah apparently it does, but there are a number of clubs lining up to negotiate with them.

Also remember last year our proposal with that Parra junior club- someone remind me which one- ran out of time and the deal was pulled, but with the prospect of renegotiating next year, ie. for 2011.

I'll be pretty surprised if we don't have a side of some form or other.

We had a deal with Cabramatta but Parramatta didn't like it so it fell through

as for next season, Newtown have apparently approached every club but they ask for to much money, we can field a side ourselves for the same price.

Hopefully the NRL act and we get every nrl side with a NSW Cup team and go back to playing three grades on the one day.

I hope we can get it organised soon as we lost a few quality players when our NSW Cup side folded last year.
