Great game , our completion rate is improving , we are not panicking in attack as in the past , we have stopped pushing the pass and played very straight , a good team effort , Mick Ennis is really controlling the forwards including Gallen. A couple of standout players , the big thing is the whole team is playing not just a few.

Scary thing for me is out attack is still a bit clunky at times yet we're the third best attacking team in the comp! I still think there's plenty room for improvemet. Case in point was Val's try in the corner where we had a huge overlap. We passed it through the hands, flat footed, like you see from an under 12's side. I think we would have stuffed up what should have been an easy try if that was against Brisbane or Parra.

Very encouraging all in all though.

Totally agree. It seems the adults are letting the kids play, then reigning them in when they need to. Awesome mix of enthusiastic add lib and controlled structure, at the right times.

Happy to be winning and still not firing on all cylinders yet, winning without your A game in April is a good sign. Interesting selection issues coming up soon with lewy back, can't see dfifs getting a call up yet, the player causing me most stress is wadeo back to basics run straight and hard, hit n stick, his creative juices of his 5/8th days are starting to want to show themselves, surpress theses desires please.
I was taken by the efforts of Gavin Cooper and Ethan Lowe for the Cows. They are both carbon copies. Tall, strong and fast. Surely we can find a couple of 197/98 cm runners around 110 kg. Wade plays a certain style but what the Cows have shown is that the big strong second rower is what will have much success.
Start with the right body type and coach them.

Managed to watch the game on Fox today at my in-laws.

Very impressive game, I thought our goal line defence was superb. Our attack still isn't quite there but to score 40 points was brilliant. It could have been more. I never felt Canberra we're going to get us, even when they came back and the bias Raiders commentators kept riding them along.

Fair dinkum we were 14-16 points ahead with 10 to go and they still weren't willing to concede we had won it. Wasn't until Prior's 77th minute try that they finally conceded victory to the Sharks. Geez, I know Channel 9 have some **** commentators but Fox have some poor ones as well. Jimmy Smith was just so anti Sharks in all his discussions and although you'd expect it, Gary Belcher just would not stop praising the Raiders and talking them up.

I thought our forwards were strong today and laid the platform. Some of the penalties against us were so soft, but a few were also very much warranted. Jack Bird needs to keep his mouth shut.

Ben Barba was terrific, don't know why he didn't pin the ears back there at one stage in the second half looking for his 3rd. Ennis and Maloney are really starting to look the goods now and players like Boogs, Prior, Heino stepped up.

Great to go to Canberra and get a win like that, have to keep it going next week against the Panthers.

I must get different commentators to everyone else, I don't see commentators biased against us.

Triple m coverage of the tigers storm game was super biased.
yeah anthony Maroons was so biased yesterday. Sounded like he nearly jumped out of the commentary box when the tigers scored a try and was even screaming 'yes' but when the storm scored a try or even kicked the winning field goal he had a very low pitch tone of voice with zero excitement

Was pathetic

I do not understand the love affair the NRL media have with the tigers.

They've been **** for years and can't even remember the last time they played finals footy. Because they are a little exciting and throw the ball around like headless chooks?

Same as the warriors. They are a good time to watch but you don't win games let alone comps playing like that.

Sides like Brisbane, Cowboys and hell even us this year are just as exciting and play a good brand of footy and are winning games.

I wouldn't say they were biased against us but more pro Canberra, willing them on to make a break or score a try or just not concede the game was beyond them. Sharks were so much the better side but it was all about Canberra coming back.

That's quite often the case though mate with the team that's trailing near the end of the game, there's nothing in it imo. Plenty of Sharks' fans seem to think everyone is against us, I don't see it.

Yeah, more of an ploy to keep people watching instead of conceding the game is dead and buried.

The first half was absolutely atrocious. I think we were sitting on about 60%, but Canberra were about 55% so that helped. We really tightened up in the second half though and came back with good stats. I can only imagine what we would have done to them if we held the ball in that first 40

Missed the game yesterday. Taped it and just finished watching it. Very happy with our guys, hard not to be. I got a smile on my face when Barba gets the ball, he's nearly back to his best. How about Matty Prior? Man on a mission today, screw superstition, that man deserves to have the number 10 on his back. Maloney is starting to come good. Credit to Mick Ennis, took on the form player in the comp in the opening rounds in Hodgson and soundly out pointed him. A lot of dumbarse penalties and stupid errors in the first half, but apart from a few exceptions, they handled them very well and defended astutely. Thouroughly entertaining game.

Yeah there has been a bit of petulance creeping in the last couple of weeks, we'd want to cut that out quick smart. You can bet other coaches would be noticing that and will try and frustrate us. Brisbane in a couple of weeks is going to be massive!

Thinking back on the game l think it was better than l first thought. l may be wrong but l sought of remember we had 57% of possession in or own half. We certainly must have made the best of our opportunities when we got in the Raiders half.
