I was going to give it a try originally aswell & very disappointed thnking we had let them in again soon after we score, happened quite regularly in that game then watching it with a few other Cronulla fans I saw the 2nd replay & gave me a bit of hope seeing that. It worked both ways anyway, I thought we were harshly done by on Ramiens original 2nd try on half time, the defender got there in time & had enough momentum to defend before we were done for obstruction.

yeah that one bamboozled me. thought it was ok, outside shoulder, no loss of balance and the flow it shows that the play continues....you can't tell me in a millisecond he would have shut down the play. maybe my understanding of hitting the outside shoulder is all wrong. but i watch other games and get confused with obstruction.

Obstruction rules seem to be different every time, make no sense to me. He got to the attacker in time so should have been play on in that instance.

Looked to my blue, black, white-filtered eyes like the defender moved towards him and committed to the tackle

Pretty sure he did commit so could have been play on, anyway, I was worried in the first 10 minutes but I was really impressed with that committed defence during that time, 10 minutes defending & not conceding was top notch. At the same time, different patches of the game we could have defended better when Katoa came too far in & that try by their kick, where was Ronny, no one was back there.

In your head, rent free
Definite obstruction

Thought the ref was shocking though

That high shot he called on Kennedy was ****ing dreadful.

Also, Cooper steals the ball off Williams, Williams smashed him, ball comes out - penalty - how?

One more thing - we need to be smarter with our captains challenge

That was a dreadful decision by Wade.

That was terrible by Wade to challenge that, I could see no touch by a Cowboy, probably just desperate & didn't think.

Strange too because Wade comes across as a fairly smart guy but his use of the captain’s challenge has been woeful to say the least

He obviously thought he'd seen that the ball was touched. He needs to have a think about how things will appear on camera though. Maybe needs some training.

Also got to stop giving away penalties to opposition trying to come out of their end on the 4th and 5th tackle of the set

Listening to Blayke on the radio, the 6 players stuck their heads in a fridge before being re-tested haha.

I though Drinkwater committed himself to make some contact which takes away some of our players opportunity to go through without affecting the line (because the line affected him). The action Drinkwater took was the main cause of contact so he obstructed himself. Would have liked to see that one remain as a try.
Agree with the Kennedy one being pretty dubious

The Williams one was called as a dangerous tackle, while Cooper never got anywhere near being in a dangerous spot he probably did go a couple degree past the horizontal.
Really it was just a great tackle in response but I can't argue that (from views I saw) his shoulders did dip a cm or two below level of his hips.
