I think most people have underestimated these Tigers this year! I know I certainly have.
It's only early days but gee they have some big scalps and with a bit of fair play they could be 3-0 and looking strong to be 4-0.

‘Improve or piss off’: Ennis unleashes on Canberra players after performance against Manly

Commentator Michael Ennis has hammered Canberra for their performance against Manly, saying some players need to aim up or “piss off”.

The Raiders suffered their fourth loss from as many games on Saturday night at Lottoland, a 32-16 thumping at the hands of an injury-depleted Sea Eagles outfit.

It’s the first time in 21 years that Canberra has started a season with a 0-4 record.

Ennis, a premiership winner with Cronulla in 2016, didn’t miss in his assessment of the Raiders' effort.

“I’d be getting certain individuals in that side into a room this week and saying: ‘Improve your performance or piss off,’” Ennis said on Fox League’s Big League Wrap.

“Because, some of their stuff that they dished up at Manly the other night was undisciplined and it was just a lack of respect to their teammates, let alone their coach.”

While Ennis had some sympathy for Ricky Stuart, he said the coach wasn’t entirely blameless, pointing out that the 51-year-old is now in his fifth season with the club and has had time to build his roster.

Ennis says Stuart has had many opportunities to attract a key playmaker to the club.

“My issue is that they keep saying that they don’t have game managers,” Ennis added.

“Well Ricky Stuart’s been at this club for five years now, Cooper Cronk’s been off-contract, Matt Moylan’s been off-contract, James Maloney’s been off contract, Luke Keary’s been off contract.

“There’s been endless guys that are terrific game managers in this competition that have been off contract that the Raiders could have attracted to their club, they haven’t done that.

“The squad that they’ve got at the moment is the one that Ricky’s assembled.

“His hands are tied with the squad that he’s got, and he’s got to get them out of it, he’s got to get them out of it quick smart.”

Pretty sure Ennis was very close to signing with the Raiders before his TV commitments kept him in Sydney and therefore our filthy mitts

Yep. It was between Ricky's raiders and us.
He made a wise choice in the end.

About the only good thing the media has done for us in recent times.
