Apparently this game is being promoted as 'Battle of the 'tards".

Replicate what we did against St George in the first half, for the full game, then we should win this one.

Who the hell knows with us though.

Both teams will be desperate.

Holmes needs to play FB this game. His potential with the position is huge, the coaching staff have to build a backbone and not shift him from the position after 1 game. Give the man 10 games without moving him. If he plays well keep him there. If not, move him. We cannot make drastic changes to our lineup like this after one ****ing game!!!

This game will be quite interesting I feel. There are 2 options for this game I think. Option 1, Parra will be completely down on confidence for a week or 2 now & hopefully we can take good advantage of it. Otherwise option 2, They will be fired up & raring to go & be a completely different team then yesterday. Obviously it will be the first one. It depends on how good of a coach Arthur is I guess.

or option 3 - who gives a **** what mind set Parramatta are in, and we just worry about ourselves.

If play like we did in the first half against the Dragons the whole match, we win.

Towsend is going ok and slowly building with Mozza, you make it sound like there is some clear cut alternative not far away... personally I am not putting my faith in Hodko or Flange Jr (at this stage)

I Love Lewis but Boogs has been one of our best starters. Lewis is still weeks off returning. Lewis might even ease back in through starting on the bench if Boogs keeps this form up otherwise he will be back to the impact role.

Yep, it only takes them to get first try for them to get a rush of confidence while we might only have to score a couple whenever for them to fall to bits again but it doesn't really matter. A Coach brings a gameplan to get a win off our own backs, not overly rely on the oppositions mentality

We just need to do exactly what Manly did. Rush and shut down Nathan Brown. That is the key. Dont let him run an inch

Yeah their forwards are definitely their weak link. Good halves and backs but that doesn't mean much if you dominate them in the middle.

I didn't watch their first game of the season but surely they are much better than yesterday's performance.

I hope we don't take them lightly (like we have for just about every game in the last year or so).

Flanno will come out in the press and say:

  1. The 54-0 scoreline doesn't mean a thing so we won't be taking them lightly
  2. We've worked hard on our errors during the week and we've fixed them
  3. Val is down on confidence but we are backing him to do well
  4. We must defend better and play for each other

The players will go out and think exactly the opposite and we suddenly find ourselves 0-3 to start the season.

They dominated the first half over Penrith in Rnd1 - Moses looked a world beater but they were spent in the second half (sound familiar?). They are a capable side if they want to be but yea their forward pack is pretty ordinary.
We seem to have closely fought scrappy affairs with them over previous seasons. We played them early season last year as well and won a fairly sub standard game when both sides were still finding their feet and working their ways into the season

So give him 10 games, if he is still failing then move him? When the season is half over? And then just write this year off as 1 more year learning to play that position.

I’m not sure we can afford him that luxury.

Spending a few more weeks out on the wing shouln't define or determine his career if he is good enough

Once he loses the shakes and starts to show some intent in defense we can start looking at moving him back to his preferred position but if Dugan is going great it could be a tough call. Top 4 or even 8 will likely hinge on the matter of a game won or lost and some F/A, it will be tight
