Interested in peoples thoughts on who we rest / give game time to.

I reckon some fringe guys need a run so that our depth is ready for later in the year when it may be needed. Gagan for example.

We also could have injury and suspension to deal with.

I'd wait and see regarding injury and suspension, but preferably I wouldn't rest anyone just yet. At least half the squad get a break this week, then pretty well the whole squad gets another come round 12. I'd like to see us really rip in and win the next two games and be on 18 points come the start of origin. Also the Newcastle game, if we play like the first half vs Brisbane, gives us a chance to keep in touch with the top 3 on for and against.

See how the squad pulls up after 2 games in 4 weeks (plus rep games), then rest players if they are still in need of it.

Yea full strength if possible and maybe we can get that for and against up the other top 4 games should be close so if we really put the boot into them we could be within 20 of their points diff, then we can smash the dirty seagulls to take 1st.

For and against will be vital in a push for the top 4. Just had a look at the ladders for the last 5 years and noted that 28 points has been enough to play finals every year, and 32-36 for the top 4 depending on the year. If we win the next two games we guarantee ourselves to finish on at least 22 points. Leaves us with 13 games to play and needing 3 wins for an assumed finals birth (28), and if we win half those remaining games 6-7/13 we'd give ourselves every chance to make the top four (34-36 points).

While we've got the squad on a role, we need to go hard for the next two games as two more wins will set us up really nicely for the back half of the season.

Anyone can beat anyone in the NRL, no one gets rested, full strength all the way. Losing this game would be such a Cronulla thing to do.

Absolutely no to resting players unless they're injured at this stage. We only have two more club games until a bye.

Nobody gets rested. We bash them into submission. We score 70. Tank goes home blind drunk

There's been some poor teams this year but these guys take the cake.

Absolutely no excuses for us not to dish out a hiding.

I contemplated switching my allegiance to this mob at halftime yesterday, didn't feel right supporting a team scoring 28 points that easily. Thankfully the second half restored the feeling of familiarity.

Should win. Probably wont.

It will be interesting to see if we have evolved, I know 100% where you are coming from on your above statement, the Sharks as a club/team have dropped these types of games as much as any team in the past, fingers crossed, we are too good of a team & are mentally strong enough to not drop these games anymore.

Can't take this game lightly. We write them off before kick off and they will pants us.

No resting players unless they are really injured and can't take the field. No matter what club you are facing and where they sit on the ladder, if you go into the game with the attitude you can rest players you will get your pants pulled down.
We've done it before to other teams. I'd be really pissed if Flanno has any thoughts of resting uninjured players.

The only time I'd find it remotely acceptable to rest players was if with one round to go we had already qualified for the top four and couldn't improve our position with a win.

No to resting unless legit injured. Some of our blokes can earn an early shower if we are belting them.
