Apart from the Bermuda Triangle stuff I thought we got good positive coverage as a club last night.

There was plenty of talk about our youth academy and junior training system. Stuff that makes us look a bit more irreplaceable.

Storm had a lot of calls go against them last night, especially in the 2nd half.

The problem is, Storm are so used to getting the rub of the green that when it goes against them, they capitulate. Where as most teams who aren't kissed on the bum learn to deal with the bad calls and move on.

It was really showing when Smith had to do the drop out and just couldn't get over the call and was shaking his head and he just wasn't in the game

It can also be an attractive draw card for younger players wanting to make it in the NRL.

"The Sharks have a great junior development program and have a high success rate. Maybe consider playing there".

You don't often get to see Carmen shaking her head because it's usually fully inserted in the refs A-hole

Watching that game, that was a massive effort & a huge congratulations to the guys for believing they could pull it off, not only that but executing it aswell. 2nd half was massive, I saw we got 20/20 completion rate & that's how you beat Melbourne. Our youngsters showed their class in that game but our senior players really stood up & their experience. Not going to single out anyone, there would be too many then haha.

Listening to the press conferences, Bellamy gave us good credit & said we are a quality side & deserved the win but he chucked a psyche at his players, threatening to drop a few & saying they don't have it anymore haha. Seems Melbourne can't handle it on & off the field when they have a tough game like this. Top conference by Morris, so much praise for our younger guys, it's good he has so much belief in them. Lets hope this is the win that will turn things around & shift in momentum now.

Interesting comment from fifita last night how he mentioned the reason why prior, gal and himself stayed on the bench longer was because of the energy uele, Williams and bukuya was providing when they came on

I think it was Uele’s first hit up I thought ‘he looks likes he’s up for it tonight, might end up with one of my MVP votes if he keeps playing like that’
He was, and he did

every game uele has played this year he has played the same, the moment he comes on he only wants to do one thing, run as hard and straight as he can. Doesn't look like doing anything differently

First chance I’ve had to post about last nights game.

Monumental effort and one the boys can be proud of.

Great effort by all concerned.

Was wondering why the old fellas were off the field for so long

its good to see bomber just have a feel for the game and not go by the 'clock' when doing his interchange's. The three guys coming off the bench were doing a great job and no point bringing them off just for the sake of giving the 3 starters more minutes when none of them looked like slowing down

Yep.

I don't see how Gus hates us tbh.

Just watched the replay. We had a bit of luck (foot on the sideline, incorrect calls, etc) but it's about time we had some.

Best game of Chad's career. If he can continue that level of game management and composure when Johnson, Moylan and Graham are back, look out.

While Johnson and Moylan add so much spark, they do bring a few errors with them, too. Last night showed we can beat anyone when we hold onto the ball. We have enough strike in the side to win without the miracle passes and low percentage plays, so hopefully when they come back they take our attack to the next level, without too many mistakes.

Up Up Cronulla!

agree i'd would say the had two or three major calls go against them that were legit

the crap culture of storm...Why do people (officials/commentators) let it go...

smith is the worst - bad sportsmanship on national TV...yet people laud and praise him because he is the best hooker
munster the grub attempts to take a player out...although wasn't going to impact the outcome in that situation (the fact is they do it and have been doing it for years and every other game I watch of theirs -- "because they're the benchmark!" -- they are grubs and a coached and trained to do so. NRL allows them to get away with too much, agreed they can't handle when it doesn't go their way!!!!

I really despise the Storm

...so I will go off and watch highlights of the 2016 GF!!!bring on that Fifita try!

Yeah you saw vision of him and Moylan in deep conversation 10 min to go probably about something you’d imagine about rotations, bomber even gave us a qik chezzy grin.

Yeah I was wondering about that. Looked like he was about to send a command down the radio and Moylan pulled him up and changed his mind.

Hope it wasn't game related, don't like the idea of an injured player interfering with the coach. Hopefully they were putting an order in for pizzas after the game, and JMo was refusing to have any pineapple and Moylan set him right
