It may not necessarily be a good strategy for the Sharks, but there are examples of successful teams who played this way. "Lesser player" does the micro management and the "better player" picks his moments.

With no numbers to back it up, I'd guess that...

- Sezer had more touches than Wighton
- Townsend had more touches than Maloney
- Prince had more touches than Benji

I could be wrong though.
Exactly.

Broken record here, but kicking is the most annoying. Munster is an absolute gun but he doesn't do the majority of kicking. I'm not saying for one second that Tricky is as good as Hughes, but he is our best kicker.

You’re probably right
But yes I mean a bad strat for the sharks

When he kicks well I agree
Doesn’t need to be halfback to take more kicks, what about the cowboys game for example?

Game plan likely a big factor
If we attack down the right Hynes is more likely to kick
If we want to send it at the near side winger (on the right) Hynes down the short side can kick the ball straight, Trindall kicking from open side has to get angle right
Certainly doesn’t explain each different circumstance though

Doesn't need to wear the Blues colours. He will wear the Green and Gold instead.
Interesting concept - I hate SOO with a vengeance, but it got me thinking - who has made the Oz side before without playing that **** of a game the same year?

Roosters were shot and still 1 man down, set up, execute and score a try

This assumes we don't butcher the try attempt
Roosters had been defending pretty well

Not sure I see the Broncos reign going that long. It’ll go as long as Reynolds is there and before the cap destroys the team. They’re already losing Flegler and Herbie which are decent loses.

If they win it this year it won't/shouldn't matter

A premiership they won't have really been expecting

I don't think they will do it though barring a rare Penrith off game on GF day

Last game or the game before the kicking stats between Trindall and Hynes was very even
But against the Roosters Nicho wanted to be the man , 'step up' and proove himself in the big games....

The lollipop kick down the short side is starting to do my head in. If he gunna do that he gotta get the timing spot on so our chasers can challenge it and maybe pull something off but it hasn't netted us a good result in weeks. Just gives up potential field position.

Easier to make the Kangeroos squad than the Blues

Seems very critical of Nicho, there is no possibility to coach has significant say in kicking game plan?

They were gassed and scrambling, Tedesco was off, best chance to score a try.
Yes, chance

It’s a game of chances chicko

You fail 100% of the shots you don’t take 🎯

For someone that harped on us having the best attack that’s a weird take from you

I'm going for the try too, but I kinda get why they didn't.

The fact we didn't take our chances is why we lost. I think we left 3-4 tries out there by not icing the moments. It gets cringy as ****, and it's a meme at this point, but finals are about winning those moments.

We scored straight after Teddy went off. Him coming back on at 6 down is just about as much of a win for them as 4 down. If we score that last set we break their backs and they'd have to start playing more risky footy.

Chris Lawrence played for Australia without ever playing for NSW, wish injury didn't plague his career he could have been anything

Maitutai played in a 4 Nations. Also years ago Brad Godden made a World Cup tour.

It will happen more and more now that players play for the Pacific nations.
