Nicho won't dwell on it at all - he is great at keeping his head up and moving on and he knows he is learning on the trot
Playing what we see is part of they way we attack and the style of players Hynes & Mozza are. Fitz prob encourages it to an extent within reason, sometimes it won't come off but we will more often than not defend our mistakes this year, it's just that these mistakes didn't give our defense a chance as they were runaway intercepts.
Earlier in the year those sort of passes were netting us plenty of points but we were doing them further out from the oppositions try line, while on the run in the play and with and momentum + more depth from ball receivers. Now we seem to be doing the play flatter, slower, up near the line of defense from a set start (at times) and it has been looking clunkier and has been less reliable and effective + teams have done homework on defending us
If wingers start jumping off the line trying to do a newcastle on Hynes I hope we go for a plan B like a dummy or the short balls to second row/centre. Did that well with Nikora today on the right side but we had setup for it and had the structure/decoys to execute it in those moments and plays. Kick in behind the line might work well too if the outside backs are pushing up.
Not every team will have Giraffes on the wings though
Wasn't a great game from Nicho but it wasn't devoid of good moments and contributions from him.
