Fair - but I think he only linked up with Atkinson just once on that side of the field in the second half..
I could maybe agree that he's not linking with Atkinson there. But I also don't think he's linking well with Kennedy on either side. Our backline plays are not slick like they were last year.

This also depends on what role Fitz has given Atkinson. He said last week it was limited. I'd expect them to link more the more he plays. If they only link once in 5 weeks time there could be an issue.

Again. I never said Hynes was **** or played poorly today.

Atkinson needs to be given a bit more opportunity to show what he can do and they need to develop combinations which they never will if Nicho does it all.
Agree, especially for the games coming up next 4 weeks against top sides, Nicho will be no.1 target to shut down and rattle. Need Atkinson to be involved more, build combinations, build his own game and also start to share a bit more of game management duties.

Nicho goes over the left more than Atkinson goes to the right. In the second half they link up on the left 4-5 times attacking dragons line

Like him or not, Moylan was organising a lot of those shapes last year

18 runs for 116 metres, a linebreak, 2 linebreak assists, 2 try assists, 26 tackles and 12 kicks for 357

Looking forward to when he has a good game.
I don't think a fair portion of fans will be able to forget that Nicho made his name off the back of a very dynamic style. He's just not playing that role for us now because we need a quality halfback to control the side.

I'm actually happier with how he's playing with the team now. And I think we have plenty of improvement left in us, which is pretty cool considering we're running first. Nicho's doing his job well for the most part. We just need to figure out how to get Will more involved.

Yep. His transition in roles is becoming more and more like Jahrome Hughes. Can't be too upset if he ends up as a quality game managing 7 with the ability to pull out a dynamic running game.

People want Hynes to be a ball running 5/8 while other people (or the same people?) are complaining Atkinson (our ball running 5/8) runs too much.

Meanwhile everyone’s deciding who is and isn’t a good game manager based on game plans and things like spot defenders they don’t know at all.

I love how people only want to focus on the parts of a players game that weren't so great , it's an 80min game and players can have average moments , but they should be judged on their whole game . On that score NH had a solid game in tricky conditions , I think he is changing the way he plays and it will take a bit of time , but will be better for it .

I don't know how other people do their ratings but failing to find touch is -2 points by itself for me.

Other than that, played well. Running the ball on the last inside opp 10m is clearly game plan, trying to force drop-outs aren't worth the risk of 7 tackles anymore.

Should he have kicked the ball out? Absolutely.

Did he outplay the guy on the other team who some people have called for to replace him in the 7 so he can be 'a ball running 5/8th'? Yes (and even his kicking game was better).

Do we win without him yesterday? Doubtful.

That's just how I do my ratings, he could be my pick for the Clive in a GF but he'd still lose 2 points off his final rating if he'd failed to find touch in the game.

It's a pet peeve
