Probably to an extent although it’s less safe to do that now that there is an inbuilt ratchet clause and similar. You can’t give him an extra 300k down the track banking on cap going up as you may need to take him up by a set % too
I think Nicho is smart enough to understand if 1 player takes up the majority of the cap, all the pressure is on that player. And success for the team is unlikely.

Sure, but as he hasn’t gone full mercenary I for one will cut him a little slack. Only a little….it’s still big coin.
Although in a different role don’t sleep on the fact he was good before we signed him tooOh big time. I mean I’m happy the club has locked in our most important player long term but a deal that long is a massive all in, chips on the table gamble. There’s always a risk that Hynes is a two season flash in the pan. If that happens then we’re in deep ****.
In saying that, i’ve got confidence that wont be the case and Fitzgibbon also still has my full support (imagine how much that means to him
