Pretty **** game. Katoa and Nikora looked great.

Jack Williams in the 19 but played today so Uele is 18th man
Players are allowed to play NSW Cup and then NRL. Chances are you are right though - Flano would probably be more likely to hold out the guy he thinks will play.

I’m looking forward to seeing both Sorenson and Uele. Moreso Sorensen - he had earned a shot IMO.

I doubt he will play after playing a physical game yesterday

Not bad I guess. I'd hope they would be able to step that up now.

Is anyone performing above the pack?

I think they are a little better than their record suggests (they are 7th currently). Two of those losses were very tight, and last week's game may as well have been water polo it was that wet, so it's not really an indicator of form IMO. They scored 4 tries to 3 but lost on kicking.

There might be a few other guys who have seen more Jets action than me - but from what I've seen and heard Sorensen was the standout. Gray, Brailey, Kennedy and Rennie are all going pretty well too. The halves are both going as well as you can hope for their first year. Williams is a better player than most people realise but I don't think he is seen as a first-grade prospect here so may need to move on to get a serious look somewhere else.

If we didn't have Hodko would he be up to the odd NRL game if we had an injury?

I don't think Flano rates him - either that or like Kennedy he is just a bit too small at the moment to be considered. I think he is listed ~75kg. Flano's comments when the season started were that they signed Hodko because the only depth they had were Kyle who is 19 and Jack who missed the back end of the year and some of the pre-season with injury. I rate him. His passing and short kicking games are very good and the fact that he was the captain of the 20's has to say something about his qualities as a talker/organiser. He also played at 9 and 7 in his time in the NYC so his is probably the player most suited to a "bench utility" role down the track - as long as he can handle the defensive responsibilities.

Does anyone know if the Jets game will be available to watch afterwards somewhere like YouTube maybe??

Would love to see Flanno jnr, Williams, Kennedy etc to see how they are playing??

Your best bet for these televised games would be to either use a VPN and then watch it on the Channel Nine web site. I’m in Qld - that’s how I do it.

I reckon the jets were a bit hard done by with that last try being given, if that was a video ref situation I doubt its awarded. I only watched the last 30 mins but the bloke in 15 did some good things

Demitriou? He’s a decent footy player. He doesn’t look like one - unusual body shape - but he goes alright.
