Seeing as polls and new threads are all the rage atm, I thought I'd start my own.

Me and my brother are long time Sharks fans, and we have a bit of friendly bet going that we need help sorting.

Sharks played Canberra in Round 4 1990 against Canberra.

We weren't at the game - it was on ABC on Saturday arvo.

Et scored the match winner under the posts in the last minute. Alan Wilson converted for a 8-7 win.

Now for the bet - I say the try was at the Monty Porter end. He says the hill end.

Who remembers?

It was very definitely at the Monty Porter end. I was there that day and my mate and I very leaving before the end of the game via the family hill. As we got around the other side we ran back over the hill just to se that try.

Yes , Monty Porter end.

I was watching from the back of the hill.

Great memories. ET's greatness goes without saying , but Al Wilson remains one of my favourite players. He Played every position as a starter in first grade except prop.

Wholehearted player and one of the great toe pokers. Also benefitted from the great ball playing back rower Gavin Miller.
