It's good to see guys like this come to the NBL even if they are on their last legs.

Looks like we won't be seeing Perth Wildcats being a threat this season, their imports look like duds. One of them was shooting @ 12%.

Beal was the Grand Final MVP last season, and same as last season he has started slow.

Their swing man had a couple of huge dunks and some big 3's but looks like a role player trying to do too much.

Its great to have cedrick jackson back, he is a baller. Jahii Carson went well for the gong

jahii carson would just about be the player of the round but the hawks split wins

childress should get it for his efficiency, and cedrick jackson was wicked

looks to be a decent crop of imports from the games I have seen, except the melbourne united import

i know shawn dennis was missing, but the other guy was crap

the cairns guard was insane, he is an nba draft pick been sent to australia, but he will be a pretty decent nba back up

melbourne sacked anstey after 1 game lol

after watching the game , i am not surprised... it seemed as if anything anstey said in a time out, united did the opposite

the united roster is horrible, completely unbalanced squad

shawn dennis is the answer to the prayers, but seriously, how much faith would you put on a rookie import who blew his achillies tendon and cant shake a knee injury?

hahaha

i have heard a bit more in the anstey situation, i heard rob beveridge was lined up as coach but the deal never got over the line so anstey remained at the helm

i got told that after the game he was given 2 options

1) resign and you can have a new position in the club
2) get sacked

there were little things that i noticed ( i rewatched the game to see if it were indeed worth him getting sacked) and from what i gathered, he was a coach with no one wanting him to be the coach

- his coaching staff sat at the end of the bench, usually your assistant will sit in the coaches chair whilst the coach paces the sidelines
- the coaching staff didnt get involved in timeouts
- his players rarely hi fived him when leaving the court ( anyone who has played the game knows that regardless of whether you wanted a sub or not, you hi five your team mate and coach)
- his players didnt respond to his instructions, they stayed in man when he called zone, and when he called a 3 out 2 in to counted the cairns zone, they stayed in a 4-1

the writing was on the wall, i would be surprised if rob beveridge is not the coach after this weekend.

I'm a Kings fan but man we are lucky that Josh Childress only got one game, for him the 7.5k fine would be like loose change.
