My Saturday night at Carmens!!!!

as i walked into carmens on sat night, who else happened to be sitting at the TAB but none other then Buster and Brett Kearney. Both were drinking though not drunk, i have to say they handled themselves well, especially buster who just 3 days after getting booted was surrounding by 18-20 piss heads (myself include) but did take the time and effort to talk to everyone who was around and never got ****ty at anyone. Buster was always getting up and down to check the cowboys-sharks game score, while also placing bets on the horses. I asked BK if he was going to re-sign for us and he said very quickly no! He is off to england he said (forgot to ask him which club). Buster left in a taxi at about 10.30 and BK was left sitting by himself till about 12. By then every drunk kid was asking him questions about his injuries and stuff but he was very polite to all. Was pretty pumped to see those to sitting next to our table as they are my favourtie players but now it seems like both will be gone

Im actually upset that Kearney isnt returning ...
I know he was injury prone and blah blah blah
but when he turned up and played well, the whole team played ****ing awesome!
I liked Buster too, but i agree that, in light of everything the club has been through of late, it was probably the right thing to sack him.

I just hope that Porter and Stapleton can fill the voids ..

Exactly. Stapo is awesome but i've found people on this board have really underrated Kearney. Plus Stapo is a small guy who seems injury prone himself. Hope we dont end up with no fullback again next year. But yeah big loss for us with Kearney, the guy is such a great player.

Exactly. It would have been awesome to see a backline with Kearney, Stapleton and Ferguson all fit. Stapo takes so much punishment at the back on kick returns it seems like only a matter of time before he cops an injury.

Stapo might still need to grow a bit but the kid is tough, he gets smashed in every game but he keeps getting back up, he runs the ball back hard and he also has a great attitude.
I think we are finally on a winner here with kid.

the reason he wasnt in 1st grade earlier is because he wasnt tough
