No carey over points means what?
It means the points from the grading of the high shot will decide whether he gets suspended or not.

Apparently he cleared his previous points from when he took an early plea for a suspension earlier this year.

Correct me if wrong.

You have to accumulate 100 points to miss a week.

For instance if a previous offence saw him given 120 points, a would miss 1 week and the other 20 points would carry over.

He has no carry over points but they add on (loading) if you have more than 1 charge in the season.

Hope that makes some sense.

To some it up , I think he will be in trouble with any sort of charge because he has had at least one offence this year.

So to break it down...

A grade 1 careless high tackle, which is what it should be considered, is worth 75 points.

If the player has been convicted of the same or similar offence in the two-year period immediately preceding the incident, the player is liable to an increase equivalent to 50 per cent of the base penalty for each previous offence. The exception to this rule is Grade 1 offences where the player will only carry the loading for a 12-month period.

Due to his previous high tackle offence he will be due an extra 37 points, giving him 112 total.

If the player enters an early plea to the offence and accepts the grading, the player is entitled to a reduction of 25 per cent of the base penalty and also a similar reduction in any increases due to other previous offences. A player can enter an early plea up until midday on the day following the charge.

25% reduction drops him to below 100 points with an early plea. Remembering this is IF it is a grade one offence, which would be harsh looking at it.

Hopefully this is how the judiciary sees it and he is out there next week to niggle the **** out of thurston.

I think the worse will be a grade one offence, other than that I think he will be playing next week.

He was going for the ball, that's the way I saw it. Shouldn't even be put on report. Inglis first tackle was way worse and only got a penalty.

Ingles should get 2-3 weeks for his careless tackles but will probably get off Scott free cause he's a ****ing protected species.

Gives you more reason to do it. Would be a better story should ACA/Media get a hold of it.
