Hahahaha ! "Cheeky rogue character"???

Anyone who can make Nathan Hindmarsh chase him all over the park with the football 30 metres away is
a little more hard core than "rogueish". LOL !

I hated the guy (as I'm sure did many of you) but I know he will be awesome for the team. I just can't
help but cringe when I see his name. I'm sure that will change and I'll get used to him.

"Ennis the Menace"...is there a better more appropriate nickname in the game?

well he did say Hindys kid was named after a dog

I don't think I've ever had so much love towards a player before he has even played a game for us like I have for ennis
It's great how positive he has been for us from the moment he signed, can't wait to see him in action this Saturday night at the trial

Lovely positive comments from Ennis, yet the DT still have to put ASADA in there.
They will all year - come 2016 we probably will only hear it every 4th o 5th article with it most likely reducing from there till 2020.

The thing is he isnt really a grub. He plays with passion and he gets in the oppositions face, and works his way under their skin. But he isnt a rip your stitches, squeeze your nuts player. He pushes the boundaries of the laws of the game yes. But he isnt some highly penalised agro prick like Bird or Gallen. He has matured thats for sure. Remember the fights with Hindy and Isaac Luke (or was it sandow) etc. Who really cares if he is hated by oppositions. He has the ability to rattle a rookie with heckling etc.

He got Adam Reynolds to want to fight him last year as well during the season. He might have been able to get under his skin again had he been fit for the final.

But yeah, we have him now, he'll do plenty of community and PR work off-field, and when he retires here we'll hopefully get him involved with the club in some capacity.

Yep id really love to see him work in some capacity with our young hookers (not THOSE hookers). Unlike John Morris, Ennis was a professional hooker, not a positional journeyman (nothing wrong with that by the way). He has a wealth of knowledge that is best passed on to the next generation of players. We need him in our staff ranks in the future for sure. IMO he would make a very very good assistant coach

Flanno has to go, Ennis for Captain/Coach

Think you are right , not doubt he is still feeling his way a little , but would love to see him start to run from dummy half after some quick play the ball. He has the ability to dictate terms around the ruck.

But needs the authority to do so, he must be allowed to captain the forwards in any ruck situation , with dummy runners and how to put the oppo on their backs to slow the game up for us in D

Very often it is the team that dominates the whole ruck situation that wins.
