Obviously the onus is on the player trying to take a spot, but the fact we lambast Trindall for two bad games when Moylan has had a bakers dozen this year is wild to me.
I don’t think anyone is lambasting Tricky. It’s just a simple fact that he isn’t a very good defender. It’s poor logic to try to justify his selection over Moylan based on defence.

It’s also dumb for anyone to watch this game and think Moylan is the issue.

He is Dallas Johnson compared to Matt Moylan.

I’m genuinely looking forward to the sympathisers finding ways to talk around it this week.

I'm starting to think that maybe it's time to give Trindall a go.
I’ve been keen to see him for ages but guy doing crap in tough first grade games is tough to drop for guy doing okay/crap in Cup

There’s onus on him to put form together to pressure for the spot not just hope it falls in his lap because he looked okay first 3 rounds

I wish either was playing better

He’s played well this year when he’s had the opportunity to play.

Irrespective it’s gotten to the point where the incumbent is so poor he can no longer be picked.

He has an opportunity every week in cup he hasn’t consistently played well in

I wish Trindall was playing better so he was demanding the chance

It’s not like he’s played poorly every week either.

He’s played well enough consistently enough to take Moylan’s spot, who has played poorly enough consistently enough, to lose it.

While I don’t necessarily disagree, the vet incumbent gets a lot of leeway to not get jumped by a bloke ‘not playing poorly every week’

Moylan isn’t either btw, only when not allowed to play in his 20m attack zone.

Trust me I wish Trindall was playing a bit better to get picked
Or Atkinson or Tracey or Puru
