why on earth would any team take him on mate? they can all see him hobbling around and hasn't played good consistent footy in over 18 months. imagine what he will be like as he gets into his 30's if he can sort those hammys. he would have to be a massive discount $$$ for any club to roll the dice on him

Yeah if someone wanted to take him I’d flog him off.

But we’re probably just better off playing the others, leaving him on the sideline for now and seeing if he can improve over the offseason.

Selling him probably isn’t going to do much for our cap because we won’t get anything. At least if we hold him we *might* get some upside.

Cause he’s got a quick play the ball.

Shame Trindall or Tracey aren't demanding selection. We're still playing a wait and see game to see who comes good, if any of them do.

In the meanwhile, we're a few wins short of a finals berth. Just can't see who's going to stand up and get us there out of this crop

The first thing to do would be is to stop picking Moylan and actually give those young boys a chance

They say 22 points gets you a ticket to the dance.
That means we need 3 more wins.
Cowboys and Warriors would be 2 we would want to win.
We also have Roosters, Newy and Raiders!
We MUST win the against the Cows and Warriors, then upset a top 8 team (which we haven't been able to do as yet this season).
Touch and go I think!

Our for and against still OK , 20 points should do it .
If BOTH Tigers and Eagles lose today , even safer

True. Having that 4 point buffer at the start of the round helps us big time.
Keeping it after this round will help even more and 20 points might get us through.
I said it in the "game on now thread", I hate to say it, but hoping for Roosters, Souffs wins today!

If we do make it, we are simply making up the numbers but at least it gives the young blokes more NRL level finals experience. Sets us up better for the next few years.

Very much so
The whole weeks preparation leading into a final
Gameday lacing on the boots, the opportunity to feel finals game day pressure and the game intensity on the day is VERY valuable moving forward.

If we finish 8th and play 5th, we could even come away with a win which would be even better (and not beyond us).
Week 2, more experience, experience winning a final etc, etc.
That would be best case I would think thou. Couldn't imagine week 3 representation (unless something drastic happens) but, never say never!!!

Good breakdown mate.

Results so far have helped. Cowboys and Warriors are no gimmes at the moment...

Looks like we're Chad-less for one more round, but expect SJ to play all games from here on in. Even with Moylan playing that should be enough to see us through the wins we need to land a token but pretty satisfying (all things considered) eighth.

hahahha but seriously I don't know why any club would touch him

Trindall is talented as should be persisted with. Tracey is slowly improving but not a key player or screaming for selection

fmd a few weeks back we were storming up the ladder and looked safe for the 8. but a bad loss and some other results going this way and that and we in danger again, winning as many as you lose is no longer a safe bet to get you that 8th spot (and honestly that is the way it should be)

yea and even if bundled out first week hopefully just makes the young blokes even hungrier for the following season after getting a taste

Yep I think 20 will be enough.

We have always been a team that suffers from vertigo.
The higher we get, the more the legs start to wobble!
