Sport: PNG Hunters prop signs for Cronulla Sharks


Papua New Guinea Hunters prop Mark Mexico has signed with Australian NRL club the Cronulla Sharks and will join the team immediately.

The Kumuls international has signed a one-year deal with the option of an extended contract based on performances.

Having just returned from minor knee surgery, Mexico played his final game for the PNG Hunters yesterday in a 25-12 defeat to the Ipswich Jets.

The 24 year old is the second Hunters player to sign for an NRL team after Wellington Albert who joined Penrith earlier this season.

These guys are fit as hell. They all live in a complex away from their villages and do nothing but train all week. They have muscle on muscle. I havent seen this guy, but we get the Queensland Cup on TV up here on Sunday arvo and I saw the Hunters beat Redcliffe in the first round. Don't forget Petero Civocineva played for Redcliffe last year, they are no bozos and the hunters smashed them physically.

How can you be that stupid without your name being Jimbob. I've explained how I got to think that he is a young bloke with potential through reading reviews, listening to games, watching highlights and reading peoples thoughts.
